The great thing about the E60 (and the E39) was that you didn't have to spend crazy money on the top-spec versions to get a great drivers car. Even the ordinary models like this 525i were/are still a real sporty drivers car with amazing straight 6 motor and very decent power for its size. I have this car (pre LCI with manual box) and don't plan to sell it. Since BMW switched to 4cyl turbo or even 3cyl and FWD for some models, they just lost their true spirit and character 😒

I have a e60 525i n52b25 2006 manual transmision , I have to say that i'm very satisfied with the car . Any ideas how to make more horses remaining on naturaly?

headers / exhaust system and air filter are easiest changes.. ( low hp gains though [ roughly 35hp id say]).. sharper camshafts (since it’s N/A they’re pretty sharp already) but then you’d need to change injectors and possibly the ignition coils… other than that not much to be done other than changing the fresh air tract to turbo or supercharged

The n52b25 is a little different than the n52b30. It Is the same engine block, but pistons and small other things, are different. In addition, the n52b25 has a loss of performance, while the n52b30 does not, plus minus 5hp. In your case, it wouldn't be worth tuning your engine. Maybe you have power loss because of the solenoid valves (Magnetventile). Wouldn't invest any money, even if you buy the intake manifold from the n52b30, you won't get the same performance as the n52b30. Maybe 10-15ps more if your engine works well.

I don't know for certain, if chip tuning without a turbo is effektive, but it could be an option

The n52b25 can be easily turned into n52b30 with changing the intake manifold to dual disa and a ECU remap with original 3.0 engine map. That's it and you will have close to the 3.0 hp if your engine is healthy. Just Google for it . Good luck !

How did you get a 525i to have the newer electronic gear shifter, and the newer updated gauges? If I'm correct, those only came on, or available on 2008 to 2010 models, and usually the 528i, 535i, and 550i had them.

The car this dude is driving is 2007+ E60, and it does says 525I but LCI models had actually N53 3.0 engine in them, so this car is 525i but engine inside is 3.0. LCI, same 218hp as the pre lci 525i but this one is 3.0 + faster, more economical and all the lci stuff added to it.

@@DjordjeSrpski 😂😂😂 no you are wrong The dude is driving a 2007+ m sports model with the professional pack/Lci e60 525i the 525i never received the 3L engine they all have the 2.5L the professional pack/lci only received the new gauges new gear stick and holographic window Speedo and the phone option in the middle compartment !!!! The m sport model gives it the m body kit and a few other features but the lci never received the 3L engine unless it is a 530i his driving a N52-B25 Only upgrades the professional gives is the updated Idrive system and technology in the car (phone option, holographic speedo,and electric gear stick I know all this stuff because I've got the same car with all original sales info it's all written down on my book And the lci 525i didn't come with the 3L all motors were 2.5s

@@DjordjeSrpski I can even send you the photo of my sales info 😂 the lci never received the 3L engine in the 525i only 2.5's you have your info so wrong lci (Life Cycle Impulse) only gives the car the newer technology and features nothing to do with the engine 😂 And his in the professional pack because his got the need gear stick and cluster and holographic speedo and 18's The m model just gives it M side skirts m bumper front and back m badged steering wheel and door trim badge and some suspension work !!! So anyone reading this don't believe the person above all 525i came with 2.5s engines lci or not lci

Major. The 325 is seriously anaemic. The 3 stage intake + the Bimmerlabs OE 330i tune is perfection. I converted my 325i, and I can never go back, this engine has so much simply locked in tune. Its only 40 HP peak difference, but the bottom end difference is seriously noticeable. Worth it. lol

@@muldix The lci 525i never came out in 3L 😂 check your engine code I bet 1000 dollars it's a N52-B25 you don't even know what engine is in the car because there's no way it has a 3L unless it's had a engine change Lci (life cycle impulse) only give the car newer technology and parts from the next generation of the car nothing to do with the engine If your car is a 525i it's a 2.5 lci or not lci I own the same car 2007 BMW e60 525i lci professional pack m sports and it has the 2.5 engine not the 3L Not sure where you got that info from because it's completely wrong
