BMW 530D E60 TOP SPEED on German Autobahn 235 HP No Limit

My dad owns an E60 530d MT since new (2007 LCI) with the M-Package in Carbon Black. It's beautiful, fast and comfortable. It's still his daily, 350'000Km on it and it just goes. He had some problems with it but nothing much (DPF had to go off, tried to clean it but the fault came back eventually). I've taken it into a little tune and now it has got 260Hp and around 580Nm as we just wanted to make it smoother so he could have better consumptions levels (7.7L/100Km now after 70'000Km). It's so enjoyable with the manual transmission and it goes sideways quite easily, trust me ahah Great cars. Mine's staying in the family forever, for sure. Just take good care of it and it will last a life-time.

I've got my 530xd from my dad hehe 290k km now, its a waste to sell it for low money, its a beast of a car. But my fuel consumtion is 10l on 100km 😔 maybe because its automatic and x drive, but 10l on 100km, never under that

@@w1cked__jj512 exactly, for their price it's just stupid to sell it specially if you know every single detail about the car's history! The fuel consumption it's about normal on those automatic gearboxes, it's usually 1,5/2,5 litres more than a manual one.

dpf goes never bad. it was probably your thermostat wrong or maf or egr or egr pressure converters. did you change timing chain?

@@martinkulik9466 You're wrong. My dad doesn't really rev it and he always changes gear before 1600/1800Rpm... He would drive small distances during the week and that screwed up the DPF, which is normal. Then we tried to fix it but as I said, the fault came up again so we just took it off. Whenever I drive it, there's a little bit of dark smoke coming off due to residues in the exhaust caused by his "low rev" driving lol

@@FactionGreen u don't need to rev it. I do the same. Dpf makes regeneration even stationary and temp shoots up, but your thermostat or other fault didn't let car regenerate dpf. Not low rev bullshit.

last because the first model is 17g old and probably with questionable kilometers without adequate maintenance, and that's where the problems start ... I have a redesigned model with 170000km never the slightest problem, the only thing is my manual transmission because I don't like automatic, better car for that money the market is hard to find ...

@@fleetwoodsoup7443 E60 had some electrical problems, but nothing catastrophic. All straight-6 engines except the N54 were absolute tanks, especially the straight-6 diesels(M57 engine), like this car. The mileage speaks for its self! The V8 models, though... They definetly had some problems. The (glorious) S85 V10 was actually a very reliable engine IF you maintained it and treated like you should. Unfortunately, many people treated that motorsport engine like utter shit, hence its bad reliability reputation.

@Age of Masters mine is on 290xxx km right now, it had 1 previous owner before me, my father. And its maintained in official bmw service center.. car is in great shape, but it cant go over 250 on speedo, it can touch 250 if going downhill. On flat road max i ever did(multiple times) was 245

E60 is very heavy car at front. I have owned two E60:s. I have to put new brake rotors and suspension parts both of them.

When you change the rotors it is very important to clean the surface before you mount the new ones. Otherwise, the rust and the dirt can make the rotor to not sit properly.

It would be very close and depends how well the remapping was done on the 530d. I have a Audi A6 3.0 TFSI mapped to aprox 385 hp and I have a hard time keeping up with my wife's 530D remapped.

已卄尺已几川丹几几 because the E60 has if it gets under 1/4 fuel the problem, that there can be especially in corners problems to get enough fuel to the high pressure fuel pump. If this one gets 0,1 sek no fuel, then the pump get‘s damaged, and by this high speed runs, this pump is running under massive power, there is 0.1 sec without fuel way worse as if you only drive 50 km/h. Many people have because of especially this reason problems with the high pressure fuel pump, injectors and many more. By the LCI one Injectors costs 600€, if the fuel pump gets damaged you habe easy all 6 defect, olus a fuel Pump for ~1000€, and you habe to clean the hole fuel system, so the tanks have to get cleaned as well. And if you‘re really unlucky, is you‘re system not immediately dead, and the injectors don‘t spray 100%, because of the metal from the fuel pump that went into fuel system. If a injector is not spraying 100% correct, you will get a piston damage, and then you‘ve got a big big problem. It happens often, and many people don‘t now why, ask bmw, they also know this problem. So keep it over 1/4 and you‘re happy!

nahh, you are not testing the car well. Stop using blinker ffs, people would think that you are a newbie driver... also try pulling the blinker stick towards you, it makes a special signal, showing everybody on the highway that you are better than them. The faster you are pulling it, the better driver you are. And that distance that you keep between you and the car in front of you needs to be as minimal as possible for safety reasons, otherwise people would think that you sleep behind the wheel. These steps make the e60 an amazing car.
