Tips for all. You can replace outer shaft without removing from front differential. Replaced both on my f11. Took about one hour per side.

if you remove the planetary gear from the car it only takes 40 minutes and you don't have to worry, don't lose oil from the differential

Did that Outer Boot clamp last very long? I have done 4 BMW CV boot replacements and that style clamp always loosens and leaks grease. I can't get the Oetiker factory clamps tight enough to cinch before the clamp metal ears tear.

Why do you put a small hose clamp on before hammering the outer shaft?

Foarte frumos, explicat! AM o dilema?. Am posibiliatea la aceeasi bani sa schimb capu de planetara (spidan) sau planetara intreaga GKN. La planetara GKN daca o pun doar pe stânga exista riscul de incompatibilitare cu ce de pe dreapta, sa produca vibratii ,defectiuni la sistemul xdrive ?
