1987年に最後のマイナーチェンジが行われ、DME（デジタル・モーター・エレクトロニクス）制御の直列6気筒SOHCエンジンは、3430ccの排気量から、最高出力211ps(155kW)/5700rpm、最大トルク31.1kg・m(305.0N・m)/4000rpmを発揮した。
デザイン的には、衝撃吸収バンパーの装着により「ビッグバンバー」と呼ばれ、前期型の「アイアンバンパー」と区別されている。

The first 6 series (e24), which appeared in 1976, has a smooth 6-cylinder engine called “Silky Six” and a body design that has been described as “the world's most beautiful coupe”.
The last minor change was made in 1987, and the DME (digital motor electronics) controlled in-line 6-cylinder SOHC engine has a maximum output of 211ps (155kW) / 5700rpm and a maximum torque of 31.1kg · m (305.0) from a 3430cc displacement. N · m) / 4000rpm.
From the design point of view, it is called “Big Bumper” due to the shock-absorbing bumper, and is distinguished from the “Iron Bumper” of the previous type.

I owned this type of 1989 635 CSi e24 in perfect shape. No matter where I went, people would just stop and stare or tell me it was the most beautiful car they'd ever seen. And I drove the shit out of it, enjoying every minute.

More likely a L6, as it has the cooler between the rear seats. Maybe that was an option but over here in the US I have only seen the coolers on the L 6’s and 7’s.

Every 635 CSi has the automatic transmission. But it's much better in this way. Unless that you have an M6, the 635 CSi, being a Granturismo, has much more sense with automatic transmission wich make it much more quick in case of surpass. Obviously IMHO and with all due respect👌
