BMW 650i Gran Coupe Twin-Turbo Quick Road Test

This model has launch control to get the best take off! To activate it place the shift lever into shift position & select Sport+. Hold your left foot in the brake & push the accelerator pedal down past the resistance point. A checkered flag will display in the bottom of the gauge cluster indicating that launch is active. Take your foot off the brake while pushing the accelerator all the way down & the car will take off like a rocket with no loss of traction! Unlike the Porsche PDK that you can launch over & over again, the BMW transmission has to cool down between launches but it's still there & a great feature to have. I drive my 640i M-Sport Gran Coupe back & forth to work 25 miles each way mostly in comfort mode & I find the steering to be really good. Sport mode is better since it tightens up & is more direct. I have a 987 Porsche Boxster S that has exceptional steering & control but for the size of the 6 with all of it's electronics it still handles great and is a pretty amazing car!

I like the Gran Coupe designs from BMW. The idea is very stylish and makes the car look better! I used to own a 128i with the straight 6, and I miss it so much! BMW always means business... Great video, keep them coming!

650i has been tested as low as 4.1 0-60 and a 12.4 quarter mile.Bmw always under rates power and test numbers. They say there m5 and m6 do a 4.1 0-60.motor trend got 3.5 sec for the m6 grand coupe. and an 11.7 1/4 mile.

This car is a world apart... and this model you test here the same as my 3rd 6 series over 15 years. Really comfortable, very smooth, sounds great... however, go test drive an M6. The bar goes higher.

If you want a cheap stabilizing cam, you can use a drone camera to film some shots. If your gf/wife can stand on the side of a road while you fly by, you can get some REALLY nice shots: gizmodo.com/carrying-a-flying-camera-drone-results-in-some-beautifu-1793692333

Ya, I actually have almost enough KZbin revenues to buy a drone, a phantom 4. I do my walk-arounds with a Osmo Gimbal for stabilization. Thanks for the tips man.
