Something has changed in our car culture: My Grandparents owned a Mercedes W108 in the 1970´s and would have never EVER allowed anyone to eat or drink anything in the car. It was my job to wash and deep vacuume the car twice a month. And now it feels that every car looks like Mr PM Johnson’s live-in Toyota Previa.

George, great video. What attachment do you use for the drill to clean the carpets? Also, what cleaning solution are you spraying? They both work so well.

Try a small magic eraser on the steering wheel, the marking just maybe ingrained oil. But don’t work it to hard

Do you always use an impact drill for your car? I was under the impression that it would damage fittings.
@GeorgeAusters3 жыл бұрын
Impact wrench, I use to undo most things. I tend not to use it to tighten bolts down into plastic or anything that needs torquing👍🏻

How much further would be required to remove the main carpet? My car has a water problem on the passenger side front/rear footwells. I was able to take a look by peeling back the carpet on the front pass side by just removing the kick panels and there is alot of water! It's definitely a problem all the cushions are saturated pretty badly. I'd like to remove the carpet in its entirety clean under neath get rid of water before it goes to the shop to find the intrusion....at least this way I can be sure all the water is gone and give it a deep clean aswell. How much more work am I looking at? From what I can see the carpet is held down by plastic panels and the seats/tucking in under dashboard. I just wonder if any sections are glues or affixed someway to the floor.
@LaynesAddiction2 жыл бұрын
Definitely going to give it a try now even if I can't get the carpet completely out I surely will have more access with the seats out at least. Thanks for the vid
