Thank you Joseph for sharing this great information. I have a 2006 750li, it would crank and start but after running a while and then parking it it, it would not start. I removed the module you showed disconnected and connected and it did the trick, I can hear fuel pump running again.

Hello there I have a 2008 740i right hand drive and I experienced crank but no start and transmission stuck in 2nd gear. I bought the IVM MODULE and put it in! And now the car starts right up and transmission fault went away!!! Thank you so much and you should continue posting bcus you saved me alot of money...blessings!

I have a few quick questions but I’m going to explain a lot of sh** beaches this problem is trippin me out 1: saw the the Texas plate - are you close to Houston? Do you know anyone with a computer/scanner so a can do a master reset and the valvetronic position Learning that you have to reset after replacing the Venus solenoids.... Check this out man it’s a situation man I need Jesus to come touch this car or something. I have a 2006 750Li (E66 with the same N62 engine - they’re probably all the same so if I sound stupid I’m still learning. - I was a helicopter mechanic so this is all so interesting) Okay sorry for rambling please keep reading you’re gonna get karma for helping a fellow Texan in need. Last week I leave to go to the store - one mile. Have had ZERO PROBLEMS BEFORE, except the abs module. I go to pull up to this red light and BAM DUDE misfires every where, white smoke out the ass, idle fluctuating between 500/1200. Also pres gas and nothing for a few seconds then it would still haul a** after that. So somehow I msden it home, Found the VANOS solenoids dripping oil pulled the, one didn’t actuate with 12v and all had bad rings, hella sludge and ohms reading between 10.1/10.5 - got 4 new ones OEM, all read 12./12.3 ohms and all actuated with 12v, everything was already apart so I pulled spark plugs and coils... oil all over the first one so I was trippin hard about a piston ring but then was oil around all 8- dealership master bmw tech said check the two orange crankcase vent valves and they were both torn in half and black from oil instead of orange. Was told both of them being screwed can allow oil onto where I found them on the sparks plugs and told me not to trip too hard about like some major stuff In all replaced 8 ignition coils with Bosch and iridium plugs all gapped at .044 2 crank case vent vent valves OEM vanos solenoids but I can’t get the computer to learn/program then them for two more day Reconnected the battery after 4 day pressed start button twice to start the and for the first time ever I’m getting passenger airbag and restraint warnings. Tried to start the car, It cranks and has spark, every few cranks it tries to start but just won’t. Whole time it’s like a choo choo train pumping hardcore white smoke like I’ve never seen except on a helicopter with a fuel injector stuck wide-open at 100% that was a 1980hp engine with 12 injectors and this car still had no smoke. Other than i still ruhave to clear the codes and learn the solenoids... Mechanics said to expect white smoke maybe even up to an hour while it burns what it has off but that the new oil won’t get in... And then the airbag light and no start Hey man, if you read this. AJ M it’ll it sounds like you need to let car go you will end up putting more money into it then what it’s worth a good running engine yes it will burn oil specially BMW 750 I in a 550 I they are sports car that will burn oilSounds like you are having piston ring failure and valve cover gasket failure does Lorraine oil go all the way into the spark plugsThe spark plugs and coils should be bone dry

No it did not that's a different pcm there is a sensor under the seat it went bad I never changed it it costs about $350 bucks but the car runs fine after I changed the ivm module

You need to change your Ivm modual it’s located underneath the hood on the passenger side underneath the cabin filter it’s a black box with 11 fuses in it and also if you tried starting your car multiple time and it didn’t start you need to reprogram your key because it lost communication with the car

Hello. I have one of 745i. For not starting I ripped it's wiring completely off. interior ,exterior, like just I totally killed my car. Every single piece of wiring had been checked a dozen time. All thing is apart. here are no mechanics for BMW like 10000 squire kilometers. A desert on Pakistan Iran boarder you can say I am only one and I could not understand BMW wiring. Plz if you help me with video call. And guide me to start my car.

I’m having this issue on a 2006 BMW 750li and I have replaced fuel pump and fuel filter so far and still no start but it does crank . How do I check for power on the fuel pump ? I checked the fuse and it was good I even replaced it just to be certain. I have the Sbsr module out and in possession of a used one but still no luck can anyone help me with this issue?

Thank you Joseph, my 2008 BMW 750 didn’t start and after checking your video I found there is really one fuse broken which locates in engine bay. After replacing the fuse, it started!!! This video really helped me, thanks again!
