Remap 435d does it in about 15s. So a light tune on the 840d probably take it to around 16.5-17s. Its an impressive powertrain for sure.

The torque is really high in this car. 16s is a pretty good time 100-200 regardless.

Less than 5 seconds in the 0-100 km/h...truly outstanding for a diesel. It's got a good sounds too. But I just can't get used to this dashboard...I can only imagine them putting the scale like "0 - 100 - 200 - 300" in the next generation and that's it.

Hard to believe a diesel can deliver this type of a performance, and the 8 series isn't light by any means, either. Pretty impressive performance - almost the same as the Porsche Macan S which uses a petrol V6. Great video once again! Thank you!

I have a lightly tuned bmw 435d with 375bhp and it can do 0-200kmph in about 15 seconds. The powertrain is very impressive. Il buy a 2 year old 435d and do the same. Will probably manage 200kmph in around 16.5s. Looks better than the 4 series and the new interior is much nicer as well even if it isnt quite as fast due to the extra weight.

It’s like complaining that water is wet. Of course diesels will sound the way they do. But you get good fuel economy and surprisingly reasonable performance from this 3l engine. Small diesels Id understand the hate. Less than 2l or even some 2l are horrible....

As far as I know, this is a "Face Tracker / Eye Tracker" which will be used for part automated driving features. The tracker checks if the driver is looking at/paying attention to the road ;)

0-200 21 sec is pretty un-impressive for 320 hp. Now imagine paying that amount of money for this car, and some 5 times cheaper hothatch tailgating you. That would be pretty painful.

The speedo reads 260 km/h while the Draggy reads 252 km/h. Which is right? That is a 3.08% difference. That's not nothing....

8kph difference is next to nothing. Cars used to have up to 20kph difference just a few years ago and even more way back. Go watch the Murcielago video, the speedo is off by 30kph! 8kph difference is insanely accurate for 250kph.
