Hopefully abrites make solution to reset though obd like many other tools instead of direct connection

Hi, Tim. So for this trans do you need to read anything from oryginal trans or you just install new one, do the reset and do adaptation to the car?

i hav e a problem with my zf8, after the oil change he changes the gears not so smooth as before, i think the adaptations are not ok any more. i read them out but i don't know the exact rates they must be. Can you help?

Why did you rope it ? To see if was good before installing it?

you have to have it connected to the wiring harness, and it was the easiest way to do it... I adapted the new/used valve body tied under the trans, then he pulled the pan and installed it... Time is money, I didn't want to stand around and watch him pull pan and install it...

@@timtracy9442 Well, It's a converted van/rv. I just rebuilt the engine but havent cranked it yet.I have an inappropriate house batt charger that sent 28v power surge thru the main system when disconnected. The van let me know by running the AC blower without the key in. I pulled the fuse. I put the key in.."P" Lights up on shifter only. No ESL noise. No turning to position 1. I took the Eis out and ran 12v to the solenoid and it let me turn the key but no dash lights UNTIL I disconnect positive batt and reconnect while in position 1 then All is on (swirl motor, turbo actuator, fuel pump speedometer etc) except for starter key position. If I turn key back to position 0. It's locked again. Hazard module blows fuse constantly however. Do you think eis or esl zapped? Or simply needs another key or other?
