For one episode there was a green Stig, but it was a fleeting thing like the Stig's Chinese/American/Teenage/Italian cousin. I think the idea of black Stig went by the wayside a while ago.

Nobody says that this is a supercar. It's one of the most beautiful cars in the last 30 Years. It's a car made for cruising. They did't develop an engine specially for this car... they'd put a M5-engine in it. This car is not about power... it's about design and culture.

I believe they did cuz they said their attempt at having all of the lap times be done on wet tracks was a failure and they knew it can go faster if they hadn't attempted to play mother nature with a hose and an enormous water tank.

The old murcielago was junk, it overheated and automatically cut the power down to keep the engine from lighting on fire. Now that audi has reworked it since the purchase of lambo its much schmexier faster and it actually works for more then one lap without overheating =P

Peter Chaboud Wel the M3 coupe is the mother of M3 that is true and i love that car. i do like the M4 better than the competition though. only mistake BMW made is to employ that american designer that drew the E90.Chris bangle. The series where simply to american to me like the Alpina roadster re- designed by alpina with respect.

In the end is not even as slow as he says it is and it doesn't look "all over the place" to me. Plus, to 99% of the people, this car is not about performance. Edit: I forgot to mention - it doesn't burble indeed, but it sounds biblical!

the car is capable of a fast time but that doesnt mean it's easy to do or even enjoyable. and alot of the time time these vehicles come with too many driving aids that limit the driver, good or bad

The "black" Stig was Perry McCarthy, who played the Stig for the first two seasons of Top Gear. After that he was replaced by Ben Collins, who was the Stig for the next 13 seasons. The identity of the current Stig, who has played the part for the last five seasons, has remained unknown to the public.

It apparently took way more effort to get the Alpina to perform, which is what makes it bad. Most people do not have Stig-like skills, and they'll have a much better/easier time with the Lambo. That's what I got from it anyway.. That it'd take Stig skills to make it perform at all.

gnawershreth a racing drivers performance does not change car to car. he just do his best with any occation. a non-alpina Z8 would be faster than murcielago, what about that?

ozan baş You really don't seem to get it. The two cars may have the same top performance, but if 99.9999% of the world's population will NEVER get the Alpina to reach its possible top performance, it doesn't matter. Clearly the Lambo is much better engineered if "everyone" can drive it. If it takes Stig-skills, it's a bad design.
