Awesome video from history of making these great c1 motorcycles

I own one (125 Executive with ABS June 2002) and I use it every day (and I could not do without it). Even if I have a lot of care it certainly it can not be eternal and I'm very anguished, thinking that it has been out of production for years and the Bertones, after centuries of activity, have failed. :-(

I have one BMW C1 200 and I love it! It is so amazing to drive it in the city. In Germany it is allowed to drive it without a helmet. Even it feels so much more secure as my other bike (BMW R850R). Just drive it in business clothes or casual. No special clothes has to be wear (regarding safety). It is so sad that the production is stopped. Today, I guess we need such kind of bikes with an electrical motor. That would be great.

Nice comment until you mentioned electric. My best friend lives in Deutschland.

Ottimo prodotto tedesco, grazie al made in Italy che sta scomparendo.... Made in Italy, made in Bertone.

I'd like to get a really good look at the quality of those welds

I saw a close up of some and they looked passable at best
@nope83698 жыл бұрын
Quite ok on alloy. And most importantly correctly tempered. Stiffest alloy frame ever on any two-wheeler.
@hydorah8 жыл бұрын
Strong enough for the job, I'll grant you that. Voids *can* become the source of stress cracks dependent on where they are, so they are worth avoiding. Certainly this frame is not quite the magical superlative thing you described in your initial comment. Who told you it was the stiffest frame of any 'two wheeler'? Anyway enough of that. I'm not knocking your purchase seems like an alright piece of kit. I guessed you owned one as you were so defensive of me being curious to see more of the weld quality. Have fun and stay safe :-) The safety cell / air bag combo seems to work very well at city traffic speeds

@dag-danieldittert93642 жыл бұрын

what a pity that it s not for 2 people under the roof without helmets with at least 3 wheels (for snow and a speed slow down speed on slope) and much more powerful motor... with all of them... we all would have such scooters in our garage to replace our hugw and inefficient cars for daily use !

Is it possible to make it 2 rear wheels for this bike? to make it more stable and balance.
@fetchstixRHD4 ай бұрын
Two wheels at the rear may not make it more stable - having ridden effectively just that (but designed for cargo, hence wheels at the back), it takes a *lot* of getting used to, and is, at least from how I feel, considerably *less* stable than a two-wheeled (standard) motorcycle. Mind you, I haven't tried a C1 and would really love to, and having two wheels at the front might be a better idea, as many have said!

Does anyone know the battry location in this bike, I need to jump start my old one
@CiBi19685 жыл бұрын
if you have a top box , open it and undo the screw in the bottom of the base (Inside) to remove the top box. Then you have a flap . lift that up & the battery is in there .
