Hey! Great video! I wired mine up and did the doors, for the main console I wired to the cigarette lighter, however, I’m not sure if I wired the doors correctly I wired the door lights to the 12v window switch. I connected the accessory wire to the red blue wire & the black ground wire to the brown wire (there was also a white/green wire connected to the window switch that I didn’t tap into). It only works at night when the light on the window switch is on, so I’m wondering whether I tapped into the wrong wire or whether it’s just a problem I’ll have to deal with.

Yeah one of those only givcs power at night when the light senor sensed low light so your headlights automatically adjust to night time lights. You can try the other wire just check with volt meter, other wire gives constant 12v

Hey I’m running into a problem where the passenger door ambient lights run only at night time. I drive a 4 series grancoupe and tapped into the brown for ground and redblur for accessory wire. Should I have tapped into the green white instead?

You have it wired to the oem function of the car which is where the oem ambient lights power on when the headlight turns on, you need to wire it to a constant power if you want them to stay on always, mine are wired to the idrive control power and ground which turns on when the car is on, I actually prefer the way the car is oem as the lights are not that bright to see in the day time

i assume that for the doors its a similar steps to what you did for the other stuff you just need to route a wire from the main module to the door modules

@@martyn6957 You can just configure on the zone 1 and 2 on our phone app. Zone 1 being the strips and zone 2 being the floor, doors and storage area

Yep, both methods would work. Fusetap would still be piggybacking off the factory fuse : )

Hey, great video! I have connected my ambient light to the lighter socket, but now my problem is that my lighter socket doesnt turn off when I turn off my car. When I lock my car the lights are still ON. should I connect it to a different power supply or? can I do it on the radios power supply or? Thx in advance
