BMW E24 Project Video #:1 Uro Heater Control Mono Valve Repair Kit Installation: 1984 635CSi Shark 6

Video showing the install of the URO-brand repair kit for the heater control mono valve in a 1984 Euro Spec BMW 635CSi. This is a common issue that plagues BMW E24 and E28 5 and 6 Series cars, as well as 80s era Mercedes. When they fail you will either have intermittent heat, no heat, or full heat. This new kit saves some money, but time will tell if it is reliable. The OEM Bosch part is currently No Longer Available. The Uro Part # is 3065. Hopefully this discussion and installation demo will help out.

Just replaced mine in my e28 535is. Going to try and rebuild the original. The one i took out was the original unit never rebuilt so hopefully this new one will last the life of the car.

Update: it failed. Going to spend up for a Bosch new old stock again I guess..

Do not waster your time and money on URO parts, I had numerous problems with these parts. They are cheaply made and do not fit correctly. As for the heater valve the URO "rebuild" kit is an absolute waste.
