BMW E34 540i No Exhaust

Just replaced the auto trans on this 1993 4.0l V8 BMW 540i, quick test drive before the exhaust went back on...sorry neighbours
Gets into it about 1.30

Imre Fodor its a 4.0 liter V8. M60B40 the 4.4l was the M62 engine used in the E38/E39/E31

Many euro models have cloth interiors. My E34 had cloth, my E30 has cloth and my E39 has part cloth, part alcantara, which is fake suede. Even M5's and such could be had with cloth here.

William Gson ya I know the older bmws had cloth but they started using leather much earlier here in the US than over in Europe. Because by the 2000's no BMW's here had cloth. I don't even know if it took them that long. I always thought in the countries/continents where cars were manufactured usually they got the better stuff, and I know the EU isn't a continent but that's what I was meaning by continent because usually European cars get nicer options in the eu as a whole

Justin Walters Well, a lot of BMW's here in Europe aren't sold or viewed as luxury cars (many models are that though and many see regular BMW's as a nice regular car) the way they are in the US, which in turn explains all the more budget minded models such as 518D or 316i, even though these cars cost more than a Passat or Skoda or whatever.

Justin Walters For the same reason A/C wasn't standard in some Mercedes and BMWs in the 90s and the early 2000s. Even the fastest Alpinas (for example 4.6L V8 E36s) had "only" cloth as standard in the 90s.

made shure to take off that lower oil pan and check your oil pump chain is tight. I can hear the tick sound ... a simple fix.

sil3nt1nput I DID THIS EXACT SAME THING!!!! I was living in Florida and I convinced a mechanic to let me break the law ;). That car made people sooooooooooo angryXDXDXD This is the first time I have seen a video with the E34 540i that sounds exactly like mine did. I would have kept that car without exhaust forever or until arrested.

Manuals are much more expensive and they are very rare to find.

Because they are two different driving types. Also, the looks are different. I personally prefer to take an E34 over an E39 every day. Just watch my E34 videos. I had a 540ia for a decent period of time and enjoyed it very much. Had an Eisenmann SuperSport exhaust on it. Great V8. :)
