BMW E39 AUX input easy!

OK GUYS What the video guy is missing is that you have to do the following to get it work: 1. 1x Resistor: 330 k 2. 2x Capacitor: 220 nF HOW TO: Connect the Resistor to Right and Left cable (the one coming from Stereo) Connect one capacitor to Left and one to Right (again in the one end coming from stereo) On the other end of the capacitor connect the AUX cable Right and in the other Left (now in the AUX cable side) SEAL EVERYTHING SO THERE IS NO SHORT CONNECT the ground cable on each end together (no need for capacitor or resistor on this one) Why this is necessary: Resistor tells the radio there is an aux line installed, capacitors keep the signal (audio coming from phone or other device) in a steady frequency this is the reason the AUX does not work when phone charging.

The aux mode apiers only when phone or other device conected...:)

i haven't managed to do it yet... It doesn't recognize the auxilarity.... the phone isn't charging. The connectors are correct. But i think it matters if there is no dsp. Mine hasn't got

nope, only alpine (not blaupunkt) radios CD53 and part number 927 or higher i.e. 65. 12-6 927 xxx and those were made from February of 2003

Hei , this is Business CD, most of BMW have that, some have CD changer with it .

So I just got a 2002 525i e39. It already has an audio input/aux cord in it but I don't know how to get into aux mode to listen to my own music. I hit the source button that gets me between the radio and cd modes, but it only goes between those two.

Josue Mingo so what I ended up doing was buying a Bluetooth fm transmitter from target for $30 instead of getting the aux cord to work. It was very much worth it I recommend one!
