BMW E39 M5 DIY How To Guide Free Flowing Exhaust and 2 Post Lift Review

Welcome to another DIY E39 M5 video.
Today we are replacing the exhaust system with a custom made free flowing one with new resonators, silencers and 200 cel Magnaflow high flowing cats.
The exhaust system has previously been modified with Russ Fellows 4-2-1 equal length exhaust manifolds (or Headers to you lucky USA viewers!) and the OEM rear silencers (again, for you USA viewers, Mufflers) were replaced with free flowing stainless exhaust canisters.
The video is also a quick review of a new 2 post lift I've installed in the workshop - This is by far the best investment for any home mechanic. It's a massive step change from laying on the floor with a couple of axle stands and always fearing the car slipping off them. I highly recommend anyone who is serious about their home workshop invest in a lift. The outlay isn't massive, just over £1500 including VAT and delivery then installation was straight forward on my own and took less than half a day. I can now safely work under the vehicle with a working height of 1.5m (maximum lift), but due to the roof height, we have around 1m safe working height under the M5.

I'm going to be getting a 2 post lift in my garage. I'm sick and tired of ramps and jacks.

It'll be the best investment in the home workshop you can make - I'm glad I did it, I'd of been happier if the council planing department allowed me to build my original planned garage with a higher roof though as that'd of made work even easier.
