Hi… I have a 540, I don’t see how you added the oil cooler thermostat to the car oil filter? Did you use the thermostat for the oil cooler?

Hi, I need little help. I have BMWX5 and there is thermo top Z controller on it. I was thinking on taking it out of my car and putting it on my boat as by Factory settings this will hit my car only when temperatures are lower than 5°C. It is very rare where I live by the other hand on my boat it will be very handy but there is a problem as this unit is controlled my dashboard from my car dashboard? I will need them a controller and because this is a version Z it won’t start just by crossing cables it needs proper controller. Any advice?

Great video! Have you actually measured the temperatures before and after? I did a rebuild on the ABS module on my 525i earlier this year. I already did my own shot on this heat shield design but I am curious about the actual performance.

I started my railway career shunting all over these docks, all the way to saltend, the quays and sidings in a little 08. We use to either bank 47s round to the Quay or propell the wagons. Use to have to jump off a wagon to stop any dock traffic then jump back on. At 21:30 if you was heading toward the docks you can take that branch and do a full circular and without having to change ends, had enthusiasts train down there, and yes what a shock it was telling the companies to move their crap off the line.

So what’s the best? Full poly or part rubber and part poly like you have?
@WestinghouseProductions4 ай бұрын
Very much depends on what you want to use the car for. Dedicated track then full poly, but for mixture of road/track then the inserts are great.
@Stian20014 ай бұрын
@@WestinghouseProductions ok. I mainly drive on the road. But, have plans for trackdays. So I will go for part poly rubber👍🏻

Hi Paul. How are the Delphi sensors holding out? I need to replace all of mine, wondering if I just need to bite the bullet and get them from BMW or go for the cheaper Delphi ones.
@WestinghouseProductions4 ай бұрын
Hi Alex, I’d just plump for OEM BMW ones if I did the job again. Didn’t have an issue with the Delphi offering, but the quality of aftermarket parts has recently gone downhill.

Thanks! I need to update the home link module on a 2nd newly acquired E38 to work with a newer garage door opener. I know from my first E38 the overhead panel is fragile but it was long ago when I updated the first E38. This video helps refresh my memory immensely.

Can you explain the inlet's at the side of the bumper and the front of the bumper but not in the usual lower grill location. Also brake ducts did you have them running somewhere or just open. Also does the E39 have enough room to be cooled properly?

Do you know what sensor that turns on the fan? Is it the one on the side off the radiator aka temprature sensor? Cause I tested the fan today with inpa and it worked on 50% and 90% speed. I just want it to work when needed. Any tips would be nice to know😀

Moving the carpet out of the way wasn't too dire for me. I just removed the kick panel which has two push pins, pulled the door seal out of the way, unscrewed the hood release handle and a plastic rivet, then carefully pulled the pedal out. Once I did that and unscrewed the clutch pedal stop, I was able to move the carpet. It's not too bad.

@and321nowyou are probably right to be honest. I was at heaton Newcastle for about 5 years, most of my work was on 156s and 142 noding. Donkeys. Mostly bogie drops and brake relines . Sometimes Cummins engine swaps . We had 3 or 4 91 sets in each night,usually for safety service inspection, but I never really got to work on them .

The auxiliary driving controls are still active, but give limited operational control for power and brake. They still work but aren’t used anymore. The accompanying Mk4 DVT has auxiliary driving controls also, but all have been disconnected.

@WestinghouseProductions11 ай бұрын
Not without modification. The 3 wire fan uses PWM to determine speed and has a constant 12V main feed. The 4 wire fan uses switched 12v feeds via relays to determine the fan speed
