BMW E46 330d Cold start | -11.3 °C |

Cold starting BMW e46 330d 135kw touring ( 184 PS / 181 hp ) at -11.3 degrees Celsius.
While starting the car I didn’t touch the gas pedal, I just let the car start by itself.
Seems like glow plug relay or glow plugs ar bad
Stock engine with straight pipe. 60mm pipe.
Ignore the battery light. Everything is working fine. (Its just an error)

The smoke seems slightly blueish, right?

As you can imagine, the car is quite old. The valve stems are a bit worn and the oil can seep through after a while of standing. There fore the first start smokes can bee a bit bluish, but after few seconds the smoke is white like a cold stat diesel.

Yes. Both dead or just relay.

I dont think those are injectors because they are all refurbished and I checked how they are working with diagnostic in november. And everything is working very well

No, thats just bad glow plugs and probably glow plug relay too. Runs perfect after it starts or when its higher than -10. Lots of things have been changed since that video.

@@jedvinijus you can start it, it just takes alot of tries until the cylinders warm up. Its not good for the starter if you just try and try all the time, but if it needs to be done, it can be done. :)

in pretty much every m57 30d the glowplugs are shit and they start just fine without them ;)
