Very good vid mate, well explained and easy to follow. I have a prefacelift M3 so the only difference to me would be the washer jets in the trim - these are not that hard to remove anyway. And for anyone wondering, the LED kits fit similarly to the same way as the CCFL ones do. Only difference is the CCFL ones only require an pair of invertors and have no added wiring to the relay/DME/earth. The led ones are usually brighter so it would be down to your individual taste what kit to go for. Plus you were spot on about feeding the harness through from the front as being the most awkward bit, just as well you only need to do it once! Saw a few other vids you've done, you're easy to follow and explain each step well - keep up the good work ;)

Nice vid again mate. Just in case people get mixed up when purchasing, the CCFL lights only use a pair of invertors that connect straight into the sidelight connecting wires and don't need a separate relay wired into the DME+earth of the car. They are very, very easy to install. The set you demonstrated are the LED ones that have their own resistors built in to avoid canbus errors and they need a full circuit to operate. Best thing about those types are the option to route the wiring into the cabin so you have the fade in/out when operating the central locking. Again, well demonstrated and easy to follow. Keep up the good work! ;)

Which fuse under the glove? Which line at the hood? Mine had no directions. I rigged the halos to the interior lights, which is totally wrong, but works. I attached blue painters tape to all the domes (which actually) looks kinda cool. LOL We tried the red / yellow at the DME (like in this video) with no results. 03 325i sedan. Trying to sell this one off ASAP since its still running strong at 220K miles. Even since the air bag recall..nothing but issues. Not into $200 hr labor. DIY always

Great instructions - your car behaved as expected. Mine, well, since I live in AZ, a lot of the rubber decomposed and parts were brittle and crumbled. but other than that, it all went back together as illustrated... thanks 😃

Good vid, im installing a drivers info display in the center vent that also taps power from the jumping points and combines with info from OBD2, CAN bus wires, oil pressure plug, and EGT sensors. Should be awesome when its finished. Just not sure which 12v wire I should best use to make the relay switch it on when I turn the key..

Hey man, you are doing a great job. I have learned a lot watching your videos. Keep up the good work! I have an automatic e46 which is giving me some problem. When it is in Drive, it seems to be raving too much before engaging the third gear. Although I feel it is skipping the third gear and going directly into the fourth gear with a "jerking". I tried changing the ATF but that didnt help. What could be the problem and how can I go about to work it out?

Appreciate it man, I would try to find someone with Bmw software (inpa) or buy the cable and software yourself (have a diy on this). Then read the error codes for the dme and transmission modules and see what comes up.

Lights with the headlight washers will require you to remove the cap over the spray nozzle and then remove the rest of the trim. The rest of the tutorial is the same.

hi shopLife, i have a 325i bmw e46 station wagon, it has had a engine management light on it for the past year, we have replaced, most of the pipes and elbows, fuel filter, mass airflow sensor, spark plugs and have constantly cleared light, so yesterday we ran a obd scanner tool on it and at idle it said disa valve to active is this normal? what do you think is wrong?

Im trying to hook up my Led AngelEye harness, I just cant seem to find that distinctive looking ignition wire in EPU, its suppose to be quite prominent looking (Red/yellow stripes wtih a kind of pattern running around it) maybe its under a different colour for the make and model of my car? Maybe a stupid question but i'm installing my angel eyes tomorrow and was wondering when I put my sidelights on with them will they automatically dim in brightness, They seem too bright for driving at night haha! Or do I need to tap into a different wire for that? Thanks dude

Do you actually even need the white wire that you tap into the DME box to make them work? Isn't that just so they turn on as soon as the car is in accessory mode? What if i just want them to turn on when i actually turn the headlight switch. Not automatically

I bought angel eyes for my car. headlight assembly is complete. But I don't know where to get electricity. I've watched a few videos online but angel eyes only have pros and cons. If there was a parking light I would have installed it, but there isn't. Getting the power from the backplate is a very difficult task. How else can I connect?

Good video as always man There is a factory ground port in that compartment that you bolted the relay at! Well whatever works.

Jason Lee That's where I grounded mine. I've had them for 3 months now with no burn-out, though that might be more because of the resistors in the harness. TL;DR Isolate everything from engine heat. A cool harness is a healthy harness. P.S. If you jump a car with the terminals under the hood, take out the fuse in the harness for safety.

My harness ground was not long enough to reach the factory ground, which is why I chose that location. If your harness is long enough, the factory ground point would be better. Thanks for watching!

5:21 Is it safe to have the rubber covers partly open after the AE wires are passed through? I would recommend cutting a slit in the covers, passing it around the AE wires, and then sealing it up with waterproof sealant.
