BMW e46 m3 manual with 4,10 gear ratio differential. Slightly tuned. Optimized soft. CSL dashboard lights ON. Rev limiter 8200 RPM. Recaro pole position race seats.

@@tim311h4 i hope you' ve done a great deal. I made a deal with my twin turbo stock Supra A80, and i dont know if it was a good deal, for it since i had to give more money for the other car . I had the Supra for 20 years, and had it until last september. I had great fun with that car.

This car left only positive emotions in my life. I bought it with 80tkm in 2012. Was almost new condition. I’v done so many work on this car by myself. Shim adjustment , rear subframe reenforce, 4.10 diff installed, oem CSL kit installation with alpha N soft etc. Car was gone to guy whom I know and very good kept. S54 engine left very sharp and intense feelings. It is raw and brutal. Anyways it is time to switch to the next page. And now I am targeting to e92 m3 with even almighty engine v8 s65. Actually he starts to move at 0:03 secs into the video so 0-60 is approx. 3:xx secs. But it is an insanely fast car. 👍🏽

Did you perform the same acceleration on the same road with the stock ratio? I'm more interested in the 100-200kmh time difference

Unfortunately I lost all gopro records with a stock diff. But I must say 4.10 gives a good advantage especially after 100kmh. So definitely acceleration between 100-200kmh was much better with 4.10. Yes you have higher RPM range on high speeds. Yes your top speed goes down to 280-290kmh. But car feels lighter and fun with 4.10. I would recommend to make a good balance with 3.91 if you can find one.

Thank you for feedback. Last time when we measure 0-100 with race logic it was 5.5 sec to 100 kmh. But this time was for bone stock car. No diff no weight reduce. Nothing. After all mods I couldn't check time with race logic. But I think it is about 5 sec to 100 kmh now.

@@tim311h4 You could always approixmate it from the video. I checked you start between 2-3 seconds (suppose 2.5) and you shift to 3rd at 7. So 1st - 2nd last 4.5 seconds.

​@@paulvicks133660 mph is about 96 kmh if I recall correctly. Stock 0 to 100 is 5.3 seconds. Not much quicker than E36 M3 Evo with 236 KW and 350 NM...but much lighter.

What about fuel consumption in the city,i heard that it is a lot lower with 4.10diff compared to stock,is it true?

Well actually I didn`t notice that big difference. Because I install CSL carbon airbox and deleted MAF sensor. That increase a power but also fuel consuption a bit. I need to do some slight changes on ECU. Guy from UK will reflash it to CSL conversion. It may increase power little bit more but will affect on fuel economy. If I drive normal without huge REVs fuel consuption in city about 14-16 Lt per 100km. Highway 8-10lt per 100km also depends on driving manner.

This CSL dashboard rev lights are available on any m3 cluster. You can activate it with a soft. The guy who remap my car did it for me in 1 min easy.

I built Z3M with S54 on Schrick cam shafts 292 dgr. The main problem is 3,15 dif. Scnd gear speed is 125 kph, third - 192... Acceleration is not exelent.

As far as I know Z3 models use diffferent diff mounts. I think this is problem. You can never put any diff what you want. But what about ring and pinion? Why you didn`t just put other ratio ? 3.65 maybe?

Wrong. E46 m3 water temp is around 87-93 C. Its even lowen than new M cars. Same I can tell you about oil temp. We have huge temp in summer here. Winter time temp gauge never come close even to a middle.

I think acceleration increased to 0-100 for5 sek or 4.9 sec if without wheelspin. I didnt visit any dyno runs so cant tell you about torque. But it increased noticeble.The only thing I want to fix now after carbon CSL airbox its low RPM power loss. Alpha N is not goodenough for low end rev range. Car needs CSL conversion soft.

So when you say CSL software, are you referring to the OE CSL map flashed to the ecu? or will any off the shelf remap designed to work with a Rail & Map Sensor like TTFS or other tuners work just as good? Thanks for posting :)

@@janprokopenko7928 I have a c200 kompressor 5 speed auto. Has about 2500 rpm at that speed. Guess 3000 rpm for an M3 isn't that bad. Any lower would be good for fuel economy, but you don't buy an M3 for its fuel economy, right? 😅

The only downside of this tune that I noticed is 3rd gear needed near 100kmh. Before this 4.10 I was planing to put 3.91. That would be a perfect. But 4.10 was near by. I roll race with stock e46 m3 cars. My car was always one body winner all time. Doesnt matter smg or manual car. I also made a small weight reduce by replacing front seats to a Recaro pole pos. i save about 45kg by that.

You can modulate the throttle. It’s better to be higher in the RPMs out of a 2nd or 3rd gear turn and sacrifice traction off the line.
