I got a smaller version, presented by you here, but even though I was able to rebuilt the valve using this tutorial. Many thanks, heater works/cooler works great.

I don't understand why there will be a cooling pipe connected. I though the function of this valve is to split left/right the amount of hot water entering the heater core.

The 2 Piece unit you started to show is from E60, not china. I need to rebuild one of these but now that you said the kit that came is a different size, how are e60 owners meant to trust the rebuild kit if it instead fits the larger X5 plate?
@BimmerFix
@BimmerFix 6 ай бұрын
If you open the eBay link, it says the kit first E39, E38, E53, E34, E32, E31, E65, E66, E60, E61. That's why I bought it. Can't trust eBay sellers I guess.

My e70 failed lasted year and I didn't opened the first solenoid so I got a aftermarket one which failed me last month.. my question is.. solenoid gets flooded or that's what makes em fail?

I'm not sure what's the most frequent cause but I'm sure if you opened it up you'd find out :)

My E38 when not running, and have not been started for days, will have the heater valve solenoid on the left click three times every 60 seconds. The first click is fairly audible and the two subsequent clicks get softer and quieter. I live in the desert and never use the heat. Maybe they need to be exercised. However I don’t believe that is the cause for the clicking. Thoughts?

Get a stethoscope to listen to the source of the noise. Hard to yell what's wrong inside the valve without taking it apart.

What is the function of this control valve what does it do???
@BimmerFix
@BimmerFix 6 ай бұрын
This valve controls the flow of the coolant into the heater core, which allows warm air to be pushed through the HVAC system.

Hello When I turn the key to posit II/engin off and heating off I can hear the auxilliary pum is working! I think something is wrong, that pump under this 2 valves should turn on when heating is on, should be off when heating is off, right?
@BimmerFix
@BimmerFix 2 жыл бұрын
It's normal. When the key is turned to "ON", the auxiliary pump will activate ,even if your fan is off.

@@BimmerFix I thought the pump will activate only when heating is turned ON from the HAVAC control panel or the "Reset" button during the cold days when car is stopped and engine still hot.

@@shefketmustafa9228 I am trying to fix an o5 x5 with no heat,found old pump was bad and replaced it with new heater control valve,old one was bad too,tore it down and it was bad inside,rubber inside was falling apart,happened to have an old pump electrical connector off an old used pump that came with it,put power through it to new pump and getting a lot warmer air in vehicle now but not hot,I am thinking the same as you,control panel in dash insnt sending power to pump and heater valve when on the heat side and temperature is adjusted up,I am thinking the same as you,it only should be activated when in any heat position On/Auto,not so when AC/cool air is selected,I would say Heat/AC control unit is bad,I will have to get it checked with a good scanner for sure,it could even be a bad Climate Control sensor behind the dash,but not sure on that either,but defininately gonna have to get it scanned!

@@randallstewart8487 Just to test I unplugged the heater selenoids/valves connection... Drove it like that for few days and had an ASC(automatic stability control) lights On my dashboard! Plugged the heater valves connector back on again and the ligh disappeared! Tried again and in few days valves unplugged it triggered the ASC light again. What a misery!? I have heat in the car... My problem is sometimes too much preasure in the hoses (never overheat) AC stop working! Does not mix oil and water. After 300 miles journey does not lose coolant but once left for few days coolant level drops down one line of the wite/transparent expansion tank. Coolant sometimes goes up one line to "Cold" mark on expansion tank!?!

@@shefketmustafa9228 Could be trapped air in cooling system,when it cools down it get low by taking up some of the air space,make sure is bled good,but it shouldnt be that if you havent broken the cooling system open,but I would check it anyway,I just checked the power to Auxilary pump after letting it warm up,after setting temp up to 90degrees and fan on low,got out and checked with test light on power side to pump it lit up for about 10 seconds and went off,never came back on,could be a bad temperature sensor or bad AC/Heat control panel,but I think it may just be a sensor,every thing else works on it,hope you figure out your problem,I gonna have to figure out which sensors to replace first!
