So glad I came back to this video once I removed the old arm I was struggling so dam much to get the wheel hub bolt in as the disk had sprung inwards

Thank you for the video. I know one's got to (weight-wise) load up the suspension before tightening up the nut/bolt of the new control arm (wishbone), but why not load up the suspension using a jack while the car is up on the stands and tire is off? it would be much easier to get access to the bolt/nut, right?

Just a note of caution, when doing any work on the rear suspension on these, make sure to check that the CV axle has not popped out of the differential. I just did my wife's X5(E53) rear ball joints and had this happen on ones side. Didn't realize it until she was 800 miles away on a trip. Had to have it towed to a shop to have them pop the axle back in. If one axle is out, the entire vehicle is immobilized due to the way the transfer case works.

You can get away with just changing one, but I’d recommend both as a pair, as they do wear pretty evenly

@@MTechGuy thanks I'll try changing both, even I'm not pretty sure that's the problem because the noise is coming from the main arms. Is that common?
