Hey guys, in this video we will show you how we removed front door panel on BMW e61. It should be the same procedure for e60 as well. Some models might slightly differ. We demonstrated on a 2007 BMW 530XI driver side front left door panel removal. The paseenger front right door panel should be very close procedure as well.

The center door clip requires you to slightly lift the panel after you have freed the other clips around the the perimeter of the door panel. There is a metal bracket, stamped and formed galvanized sheet metal, in the center of the panel which acts as panel reinforcement and anchor plate. There is a notch on the bottom of that bracket which slips over a plastic/rubber socket which mates with a metal clip attached to the door assembly. Removal of the panel involved a slight lifting. Installation of the panel requires that the socket be removed from the metal clip by depressing the retaining prongs so you can slide the socket off. You then fit the socket into the metal bracket This then allows you to install the panel by pushing into center retainer while being aligned for the outside clips. Good luck.

very helpful.... i picked ur video...because my door doesn't open and the Key from inside bottom doesn't open the 2 right doors, but for the other 2 doors on my left side do open...I just can't open both right side doors with my car key or using the Key red bottom from inside or i can't open the doors by using the door handler ... what is the problems you think? (06 525i) For the driver side door. My interior door handle has gone floppy and doesn’t open the door anymore. What could be the cause of that. I know most cars have a cable I’m not sure if this one uses thag too.

Completely forgot to mention the trickiest clip - the centre one that finally releases the panel by lifting the panel upwards. That clip then needs to be transferred from the door back to the panel before reinstalling the panel. I could see you had done it off camera but not mentioned it.
