Hey guys, in this video we will show you how we drained the cooling system on a BMW e61. This specifically is a 2007 BMW 530xi. However, it might be very close procedure for the whole generation. It is not very complicated procedure. We will have a video to show you how to properly bleed the cooling system.

Also there should be a 13mm plug on the engine block that you need to remove to drain.

What is the internal diameter of the hose that you plugged into the drain plug?

My 07 530 has a orange knob down in that same spot as that hose you unplug. I unscrewed it’s and got the same result

where did you guys sit the jack stands? i need to set mine on them but i dont want to bend the frame

on the frame, it s better to use the jack in front of the car and put the jack stand under the plastic pad under the left side, bmw designed it to be a support point

You didn't drain the engine block. You probably left 1/4 of the old coolant in there.
