It’s not as hard as it looks and can all be done via the obd on the car itself ;) with just a few clicks on the bench it’s harder especially running between two laptops but next time it’s all on one system

Hi there, this might seem like a weird question - however how would you check if there is more than one key assigned to the car? - Including other keys for comfort access? Is this possible? I have a situation with someone who I believe has access to my car and would have had access to my keys etc as well at some point- so would be easy for them to make a clone etc. Please advise, thankyou!

Awesome setup, I used to do VAG keys, mileage etc. I only have one key for my E87 fancy making a new key up for me? Also can you do anything with FRM I have no O/S Main Beam - bulb, fuse and wiring are good.

My car was stolen and recovered after 1 month and bat 1500 miles. Keys probably cloned so vehicle at risk of being stolen easily again. Can the locks be reprogrammed and my keys reset so any cloned keys will no longer work?

Don’t buy Carly for BMW. It requires you to input your exact location in order to work. This gives them the ability to turn off your service and your adapter. Free software is available. Don’t get ripped off by the Carly scam. So many people have damaged their cars and bricked the computer.

sup bro, 2010 e61 wagon my key fob works however , i noticed that when i'm standing a bit of a distance from the car it the doors dont open until i get much closer like 10ft close, where in the past ( original key that came with the the car) worked from a greater distance. thanks great diy

I got a question. I can buy a bmw e60 530d very cheaply. However it got no keys left (it got all the documentation - so it is NOT a stolen car). I got a laptop, obd2 cable and ncs expert, inpa. I was not able to find any information if this is possible with ncs or not. Is there any fast and cheap way to make a copy key from the CAS? I mean to get the information about the key from the CAS and copy it to the blank or older key.

Like I said as I've done all the other BMW the must be a reason or away for me to do this I have access to the BMW all the caste system but for some reason it won't allow me to connect to it so but he does have a faulty key reader could that be the issue obviously you know more than me as you're a BMW expert but like I said my tablet allows me to do quite a few of them what do I have to flash it

Great video. Do you or anyone know how to have 2018 e/f scanner software not prompt for "update ecu?" when clicking "key learning". It will not let me get past that prompt. CAS info shows 2 versions dated, 25.04.2006 and 02.11.2017 followed by "Update is available". 2014 E84 X1. Thanks!

No mate and that’s no problem mate most people will figure it out if there smart enough it’s not a d can cable mate this is a special cable that YOU must use on a bench setup it cannot be used the same as it is on a car as the lines are all different on a bench setup as the obd your only using 3 pins compared to all pins like on a car as you haven’t got every module as you would on a car only the main ones so the cable has to be different 1. To talk slower via the obd port to get a connection with the modules then would be used with a icom or cable 2. To make sure there is a strong connection to the platform and to maintain 12v constant supply 3. Data transmission via the cable and the computer when programming It’s a custom made device which I made from d can cable stay tuned as I have another item I will be using self constructed

mate I would NEVER ever do this via obd port on the car myself if you do this to a cas 3 encrypted consider the car kissed goodbye then you definitely need a bench to recover ALL the data which is not easy I wouldn't ever do this via obd the way im doing this cant be done via obd its to risky and a risk not worth taking then you need to open modules and clear the data revive the data from the chips it gets more serious if you bring down somebody cas or there dme its GAME OVER for me I will stick to bench doing this cable wise I can make you one if need be but its used at your own risk if you bring down somebody module in workshop and cannot restore it which you cant on the car I think the people will not be very happy and you won't look professional as I say to everyone what you see me do looks easy BUT most things are cut out of video there was 2 piece of things missing from this video which is needed which you CAN never do on the car via obd

no you cannot do that if you have no keys for the cas that is a big matter and you best be experienced in software side of things you need to read data

no problem mate no mate you cant write key with Ista D it requires either you to have the original key for the cas to make another or if you dont have a key then you need to open up the cas and make a key which isn't easy and you must have knowledge

I have an OEM key fob from a totalled vehicle, same as my car- 2008 E90. Can you reprogram the fob to work with my vehicle? What would you charge? (I know I need a new blade insert, I can do that at a locksmith locally) BMW is asking 500 USD for me to get a SPARE key.
