The BMW e60 heave evaporator replaced and disinfected , the old has a hole through which it loses refrigerant in the passenger compartment
And bonus the electric fan has been changed
With this occasion a complete sanitizing was done to the entire air conditioning system, now the car will smell nice inside for a long time

Hello, YES of course you need to remove the freon gas , but if you have this problem is possible that you don't have any gas in your system...test it by shortly push on the refining valve and when you do that protect your eyes 😉

Hi, great vid as always. When you first used the computer was it just to activate the water pump to drain the coolant ?

Hello . Yes, I activated the electric water pump to remove as much of the engine coolant as possible, so as not to make a mess when I disconnect the hoses :)

You'd have seen the horror stories people post about work they've had done on their cars. They are forever trying to find good technicians. You'd have no trouble establishing a good business so stick with it !

Thank you sir for the detailed video. Is this process similar to the e65 730d? My ac gas is now empty, when it did work it had bad smells. My guess is I have to change this part like you did as my mechanic can't find a leak in the engine bay

Hello !! depends on the year of manufacture and model for example: BEHR is one of the manufacturers that has equipped from the factory on certain BMW models . hella is a good manufacturer but it may not make a quality vaporizer for a system that they did not equip as standard from the factory

Do you have to replace the AC blower while replacing the evaporator? Do you think the blower will be next to go bad?

No you don't. But, the thing is that the blower is always in contact with wet air and is know to go bad because of the corrosion. E60 isn't a new car, so i believe that it was preventive mesure.

Where is the drain pipe for the AC compressor please, mine is blocked causing water to collect inside the car on the carpets? I've checked all drain holes to be sure and there all cleaned and flow nicely for when it rains, I've also checked the linings inside the door cards which are perfect

Thank you for the video, it took us around 16 hours to get it done. We spent a lot of time removing coolant hoses from engine side because they are hard to reach on 550 engine.

It just says “Pass. restraint system” and then says “Fault in passenger restraint system affecting airbag, belt tensioner or belt force limiter. Continue to wear the safety belt” I am wondering if it is possible that I pinched a wire somewhere. I took everything back apart and didn’t see anything obvious.

Verifici siguranta , dupa care verifici direct pe modul daca are alimentare 12v dupa care ideal cu un osciloscop verifici daca are si comunicare , dar daca m-ai intebat cum verifici nu prea pare ca te pricepi , sfatul meu e sa ta duci la un electrician/electronist BMW in zoma ta si sa ti-o diagnosticheze / repare

Never buy one of those BMW again. They all have very expensive problems. Cost too much to fixed any issues on the BMW. They brake very easy.
