Did you move the transmission oil cooler line from the bottom to behind the intercooler for a reason? That part of the install has me nervous to try and do the install myself.
@Adam924 жыл бұрын
The transmission cooler actually was mounted infront not in the bottom go watch part 1 you will understand what I'm saying, but since the after market cooler way too big I got no choice than moving the tran cooler somewhere else
@emilyhofland8219 Жыл бұрын
Your factory transmission cooler, is mounted on top of the factory intercooler. The aftermarket, uses that same bottom space, and wraps around up the front the cooling systems in the grill. The aftermarket intercooler uses the factory routing, for it's tubes as well. There shouldn't be any issues with the transmission cooler line, routing. ... If you are competent enough to take off your bumper without problems, the only other issues I forsee, for a dyi, is the A/C capture and recharge... And that's an issue you can easily buy your way out of, with just a bit a prior planning.

Was the fmic a direct fit? Besides the cutting like the lower charge pipe fit in well with no problems and all. And how’s your trans temp looking? Is there any downsides with that

Pretty much and for the transmission cooler watch part 2

@@Adam92 Would you happen to know if this fits the Wagon? I have a 535Xi Wagon and the unit I ordered was wrong! So i am going to order this one

... You don't have turbo flutter issues in your car... Why would you swap the diverter valves, for BOV?
@ivanbliminse5350 Жыл бұрын
They break constantly. And once you're running high boost you want bov over diverters
@emilyhofland8219 Жыл бұрын
@@ivanbliminse5350 nah... Upgrade the diverters... Only bov for single turbo.

@@ivanbliminse5350 then look it up. I pay adult money for my access to in depth car science info. And put a lot of time time into learning it. I'm sorry, but I'm not giving a full lesson on the KZbin. I do this stuff for a living though. Fyi... The valves don't break, all the time, the plastic hoses do. As I built my car in pieces. I cut the plastic hoses off factory valves, ran heater hose to the new locations, and ran with factory valves before I upgraded them. The factory valves will fart on overboost... But it's not a big deal. With upgraded, I eliminate almost all boost lag, by moving my compressed air, back in front of the turbos. It can go to atmosphere, or if I open back up, boost is already built. Bov gives you one option. Vent to atmosphere. Twin turbos don't work the same as a big boy single. Don't treat them like one.

@Emily Hofland @Emily Hofland I have looked it up. I've never seen anything supporting what you say in any of the forums or rooms in the 5 years I've been in the n54 community, which is why i was asking for information. I went through 3 sets of factory diverter valves and it was not my hoses that failed any time.
