It's a good starting point but you still need to make adjustments depending on the volume of air the supercharge is putting out while also taking into account any parasitic drain...would be trivial if not for the fact we still don't have a decompiled binary to make customizations to the rom before flashing our ECUs...I miss my old E36 M3. The 90s were just simpler times for firmware mods

@@Djent_Lover Check out winols. There is a Damos file floating around for me9.2 both for the 4.8 and the 4.4 n62 specific for the e63. I got my files from a sketchy seller on alibaba for about $7 all in...not bad if you already have access to a dyno.

The Alpina had a compressor blowing into the stock intake manifold, the stock intake manifold on these is infinitely adjustable in length between a certain range. This is to optimize cylinder filling at all RPM's. The maps for the Alpina will be very different than the ideal maps for this engine, which removed stock intake manifold. This will essentially start closer to an M62 in base power levels (if 4.4, then almost identical to M62 power) as the intake manifold was the main reason the N62 made more power over a larger range than M62. So by deleting it they are starting with a lower power starting point.

Well done, I suggest using the bypass in the compressor so that it does not pump at idle speed. This will help to stabilize the idle speed. Wouldn't a compressor from a Mercedes 5.5 AMG be a better solution? Has anyone tested the boost in n62b48 what increments?

Don't worry, We adjusted everything from ecu map, New video will come out soon. I am waiting for a AFR Gauge to arrive from USA and install for final tuning Map.

update on tuning? iam wanting to do this to a 2004 x5 n62b44. either supercharger or turbo. the tuning side is the hard part it seems. from what i understand the valvetronic set at max lift with aftermarket ecu, to enable manifold vacuum reads? please update with your tuning experience! have fresh built motor on stand with ported heads and doctor lavr headers ready from install, but now wanting FI :)

@@chuckcp ported myself actually. Focusing on the exhaust port mainly. Intake was mildly worked removing casting snot and short radius is still good. Knife edged the cross overs around valves. 3 way valve job and new stem seals with 12 thou off the head for a little bit more compression

Have the 2004 645ci. Been wanting to get the supercharger installed and ecu tuned but I guess it has to be done custom? Didn't know if it would be direct bolt on or not.

you would have filled in gasoline instead of gas and you would not have to install a compressor! these motors must not be inflated! otherwise it will end quickly! first you need to plug the block with wet darton sleeves.
