It's not a full DIY but gives a general idea of what needs to be removed to gain access to the ignition coils. You may not need to remove the air filter box/housing. I did it without removing them. Happy wrenching!

It's a VTT Oil Filler Cap. It has a one-way valve that helps release pressure from the head.

This is not truly a toyota. The Germans are the masters of complex engineering. For it to be what it is, They had to engineer it this way. Gotta go through stuff to change the coils. Hey my friend, does yours burn oil and after how many miles do you do your oil change?

It did consume oil when my PCV system was not functioning correctly (about 400ml in 3,000 miles) but other than that it does not consume any oil. Oil service every 3,000 miles or 6 months (whichever comes first).
