Hello Bjorne.. I have finally found a frm 3 basis from a 120d 2010 I have pre FL 120d same spec etc.. I have read your how to fit it and re wire it on the babybmw forum Thank you for that information. My question is once I fit the frm3 am I able to drive the car and use the lights etc or do I have to code the car immediately? As I say I have daten file issues. Many thanks for your help

+Yaseer Karwa It will work without coding if its exactly same specced i think, but it should be coded because the light module FRM is one of two modules in you car holdning the VO (FA) for your car. Its the CAS and FRM, so the best would've been to first program the FRM to your chassisnummer with winkfp, and then code your FA from CAS to FRM, and then just code the FRM normally. Im not 100% that it will work without coding, but i think so, but it may be confusing for your car when those two modules that have the FA (equipment list) for your car is different and has different VIN number :)

Hey man Could you tell me if it's possible to use any frm 3 for welcome lights example frm 3 xe or frm 3 led or frm 3 basis? Also does it matter if the frm 3 is from a different chassis for example e81/e88/e90/91/92? I have a 120d PRE FL and looking to do this upgrade. Many thanks

+Yaseer Karwa All would work, but you need to have the correct type for your lowbeam and highbeam to work correctly. If you have xenon then XE, basis or halogen and so on. You can buy the FRM3 MAX version, that will work for all light options :)

+Yaseer Karwa If you have the original FRM (light module), then you must code "+MUEB" without the quotes to the VO (Vehicle Order/FA) of the car. +MUEB has to be added to both CAS and FRM and then code the FRM module after changing the FA, then facelift LED taillights works on prefacelift :) and you have to add power to the LED bulb in the taillight and rewire the connector :)
