BMW e90 2007 335i HID Xenon Bulb Replacement DIY

Here's a quick DIY on how to replace your burned out HID Xenon bulb in your e90. Mine is a 2007 335i. Very easy job. Here's a link to purchase the top of the line Phillips HID D1S bulb from Amazon: amzn.to/2uIePy1

Thank you so much for showing how to get that damn dust cover off!! I broke the taps on my passenger side and had to buy another. I have one more side to change, which I was completely dreading because of those taps, but now I get it!! Thx again!!

This is for low and high beam. It’s a bi-xenon projector. Not just low beam.

Question, my drivers side low beam works fine for about 30 minutes of driving and then goes out, I let the car sit overnight works fine and same thing.. does this sound like bulb or ballast issue?? Thanks in advance.

Very good demonstration! The Xeon headlight is very difficult replacing by a non-mechanics person. I would not touch it.

I have found it unnecessary to remove the wheel and the inner-fender liner to replace the bulb - just turn the wheel, full-lock, into the center of the car to clear the panel. To access the tabs for the inner plastic shield, you can easily access those from inside the engine bay with a stubbie screwdriver. The hardest part was the wire retainer - if it has been 'on' awhile, it will not easily release. With a few minutes and patience, it can be worked loose.
