Is it not neccesaary to remove the seat and airbag with 1hr in advance to deplete the backup condersers?not sure if this applys to this car though

Beautiful job. I can get a steering wheel refurbished for $450 US from a company near Dallas but wife thinks it a bit much. But seriously it’s the most high touch area in the car, so important.

I don't actually slide out of the seat like most do, I step out of the car to avoid wear on the seat. Good idea though!

Not essential but you’ll likely need to reset airbag light if you don’t 👍🏻

The black plastic trim around the wheel with the m sport logo. You can remove all of the plastic dip style coating by using tar remover, its a gloss finish underneath and looks way better than the scuffed matte finish, I did it on my e60.

Glow plugs have already been replaced. Will be doing a brake fluid flush but no need to use ISTA for a regular fluid flush!

Great job, not many pay that attention to detail and change the steering wheel. Personally I think it is one of the most important things as one is gonna look at it every time when driving the car. Is there a reason that you left the gear knob as is? That thing must look terrible too.

I am busy with my "new" 1996 E38 750iL and working hard to get it into tip top shape. What a great car it is and is completely different to drive than my lovely 2005 760Li.
