Bro this video just helped me sooo much. I removed the rear bench to get to the fuel pump and regulator to check for leaks and I could not get the rear bench back in! I was confused by that middle seat belt buckle. Yours is the only video I could find showing the rear bench being put back in the car with no cuts or editing. Thanks a million man!

The only thing I don't like about my E90 is that I don't have a folding rear seat. Great video, I'm going to do the same thing.

LVP colour refinisher is likely what you want for restoring that rear console

Thank You very much. I needed the tutoríal to repair the cover behind rear seat

That rear centre console looks painted to my eye. I'm not sure will have much success restoring it unless you strip it all back and respray. Great video and I even enjoyed the dodgy camera work, nice to see a real human at work and not a career man.

Great addition to your car. So Cool! Thanks for sharing.

I want to know if the e90 have wall behind the back seat, I will re-equip trunk lid of LCI and does not have key, my car does not have folding seats and if the lock fails I do not have option to open inside

Good job! Do you people know if this retrofit is possible/easy on the e39? Thanks

Thanks for the great video! Do you think opposite (backwards) swap would be easy to do? I just need to change the rear seat, and a donor one I have is non-folding, unfortunately.

Very good video..again. Thanks for posting. I'll be watching for the redye (paint) of the front seats & console. Technically, it's not a dye, it's a paint & it lays on the top of the leather. You should consider buying some adhesion promotor to help bond the paint to the leather. for all the nay sawyer. do you really think cows come in a perfect gray? or any other color & have the perfect gain that you see? I'm sure they emboss the grain before painting. I use to do work for leather suppliers. And they also split/cut the thickness so that it's all the same thickness. Keep up the great video's.

You didn't get the rear sunshade from the junkyard, didn't torque the seatbelts to spec or even wore the pirate cap at the trunk section of the video... I'm down-voting. Kidding of course :) Keep them videos coming!

At least somebody watches till the end lol. Hard to find the sunshade but I actually don’t want it. I have a hard enough time seeing out of that window tint that I need to finish removing!

Taking out the front seats is not a big deal, would be alot easier, and alot better if you deside to dye them. The rear seats looks amazing though, good job
@50sKid3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I definitely plan to go that way
@CrazyOneToo3 жыл бұрын
Are you going to be able to get the cracking out of the front seats? Mine look like that too.
@50sKid3 жыл бұрын
Depending on the crack, the dye does a pretty good job of hiding it. You can also use small crack filler

Nice video, thanks. Any idea if the seats are interchangeable between models for the e90’s? For example. if I have an M3, can I source from a 335?

Interesting I didn't know E90 just had an open pass through like that. Retrofitting split fold seats into an E46 is not as easy if I remember correctly. I'm so glad my E90 has them already!
@50sKid3 жыл бұрын
It doesn't--there's supposed to be a ski bag thing there but people in the junkyard like to take it for some reason.
@miller330i Жыл бұрын
Very difficult to retrofit an E46, if no folding seat is present then you have to cut a lot of metal!
@AlisterLeask3 жыл бұрын
Use the larger metal buckle on the recessed button on the bottom clip to release the centre rear belt. No need for a screwdriver.

Have you noticed that junkyards aren’t what they used to be? The other day I went to Pick N Pull in Richmond CA and they charged $85 for an air cleaner and MAF assembly for my Ford Expedition. And $3.50 for a radiator cap?!
@50sKid3 жыл бұрын
I think MAFs have always been a little pricey around my parts!
@bw15323 жыл бұрын
I think this is because they're getting bought up and consolidated by big conglomerates. The ones around me and Maryland used to be small single-family dude owned or whatever and they were cheap once they got bought up by LKQ the prices went up.
@50sKid3 жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s all LKQ by me

Dorman sells a coolant reservoir cap for $8.76 on Amazon. So I “saved” $5.26 by going to Pick N Pull - where I had to walk half a mile in hot June temps to get to the truck, SUV section. I mean, these little must haves used to cost 50 cents! Crazy.

Have you got the isofix anchors to complete the retrofit?
@50sKid3 жыл бұрын
Dang, I probably missed those. I'll keep my eye out.

I have seats on my E90. I cant find the isofix...it should be there right?

I wish retrofitting folding rear sits was that easy on E46. :((
@50sKid3 жыл бұрын
It pretty much is. These cars did not change very much.
@AudioTherapy03 жыл бұрын
@@50sKid My E46 did not come with that feature. And to retrofit it, I will have to cut out metal panel between trunk and interior and also weld some brackets.

People bought the E90 over the E92 for practicality reasons i would have thought. Seems a mystery to me why folding rear seats on the E90 was a cost option but standard on the E92. I've had my E92 over 4 years and never used them 😂
