Hello, after open and remove the internal material of NOX catalytic converter is there some more noise from the exhaust or not? And power is better or not? Thank you.

Power much better. Noise not noticably loud. Sounded healthy. :)

@@wallatimerecordings3281 thank you. You say, sound of exhaust isnt loudly without any resonances into the interior? Nox senzor/emulator works properly? What about emission control? Could you post some video? Thankyou

I was wondering what the best thing to do is as I have 30ea fault code come up on my e92 bmw?
@AutomotiveAddiction5 жыл бұрын
I recommend reading about the NOx converter to get a rough idea what it does, then make the educated decision to remove it as quick as possible. If this is your only fault code you could try to force your car into Nox regeneration (more than half tank of fuel and drive at over 110kph for 30 mins... ridiculous i know...) that may help.. but if the thing is blocked like mine was IMO it needs replacing or removing. I came to this conclusion pretty quickly after knocking on the exhaust with my fist and listening to the rainmaker that the exhaust system had become...

so did you just gut the secondary cat and welded it back up? did you anything to the cats after the manifold??? Thanks
@wallatimerecordings32812 жыл бұрын
No one side was still ok, the other one had definitely broken up. Can't promise it would pass next mot but it wouldn't have made it there with the faults it had.

It's not a cat either it's a Nox converter.

replaced the NOx sensor on my e90 318i because I was getting fault code 3104 (rough running) now im getting different codes 30DE and 30DC and the car still not running smooth (runs ok but sometimes the engine is shakes) spark plugs , injector and coilpack all new

Have you gutted the exhaust like I did in the video?

@@AutomotiveAddiction no I don't have tools for it and place

I would advise having it checked. Banging on the exhaust sounded like a rainmaker on this vehicle. And the exhaust was 'growing" in length when the car was being revved, clearly visible from the tailpipe so it might be worth banging on the exhaust and listening for rattles and watching the exhaust while revving the engine to see if it "grows" both would be signs gutting box will need doing. If not it's prob another issue.

@@AutomotiveAddiction Good idea, what effect has it had on the running of the car since?
@AutomotiveAddiction3 жыл бұрын
@@elnorkio no fault codes, more power throughout rev range, no returning inlet manifold pressure sensor fault or air flow codes. And no problems with any Nox sensor codes.

Save problem. I deleted nox and i replaced cats with 2 high flows
