I’ve recently installed a set of these headlight on my 328i BMW.. instead of installing the relay after re-pinning the headlight wires, would swapping the halogen bulbs to LED solve that issue too?

Great video. It solved 90% of my issue. My high beams work now. However, do you have a solution for the flash to pass? In other words, constant high beams works, but just pulling on the high beam lever “flash to pass” does not. Do you have a solution for that?

I'm doing the same. Can you verify one thing. You mention a number 2 on your harness, but does that pin actually correlate with pin 5 on the factory harness?

Man I need your help @RayonsAutoDiagnostics, I have a 2011 BMW 335i with an N55 engine, which I bought recently. I primarily drive it during the day, but at night, I noticed that the headlights were dim and the high beams were not working. So, I replaced the old halogen bulbs with white LED H7 bulbs for the low beams and H1 bulbs for the high beams (the car has aftermarket headlights). Now, the low beams work as expected, but they flicker randomly for about a second while driving. The high beams, however, do not work at all. When starting the car, they flicker for 3-4 seconds and then turn off. What could be the issue, and how can I fix this?

I was excited about your video and I tried it on my granddaughter’s 2008 BMW 330i but the high beams work if I hold the lever down, so I didn’t change the position of the wires because the aftermarket plug is sealed in a wad, not separated in the plug, and the installation of the relay didn’t work. What do you think I did wrong or need to do? Thanks for your input!

@@RayonsAutoDiagnostics Unfortunately I am just driving it the way it is, because the bright lights work if you pull the switch but they will not stay on and I do not know if I should cut the red wire and connect it to the brown and yellow wire or not. the plug has no numbers on it and the plug for the headlight is sealed in a bunch and not wired in a series beside each other.

Hello Rayons, I followed your tutorial on KZbin for fitting after market headlights on BMW. I bought the after market from Poland and I connected them followed your guide. The lights when I turn on Low beam and full beam same time they work fine. but after driving some distance on low beam when I want to switch to full beam I receive an error on the dashboard and they don't turn on unless again I restart the engine. Is there anything am missing. I have put a relay on one side and a fuse

Hope you figured out a way to get it working. I would find out if there is a signal coming from the switch to turn on the low beams. If there is a signal, then it may be in the incorrect position

Did you install a relay for each headlight assembly to turn on the high beam or did you use use the same relay for both headlights and just ran a wire to the other high beam light? Thanks, Bruce

You can try coding the lights, turn off the warm light option and see if that solve your problem.

How big is the relay amp?

The relay install is about 30amp but even a lower amperage relay will work. This circuit pulls lower than 10amps

You can't tap into the red and blue wire for the fan. It's not a constant hot. Your highbeams will only work when the fan is told to come on !

Maybe your not familiar with BMWs. This BMW uses 3 wires. A Constant negative, A constant positive and the Little wire controls the fan speed through pulse width modulation

2 days ago I did another bmw with similar problems. This time the wiring were correct but the voltage supply to the high wasn't sufficient. Had to add a relay.
