Will it work if I stick the sensor anywhere on the radiator? Will it work if I tie it with wire or cable ties?

Damn i was thinking about getting the 7001 radiator from csf which is the all alluminum one that is practically better since it wont leak cause of the plastic

Have to replace mine bc the upper radiator hose mount snapped bc I was trying to replace the expansion coolant hose and another hose piece broke the upper radiator hose so i was trying to change it but it was seized onto the radiator. I ordered the n52 radiator off fcp euro and just realized it i have the n51 sulev is the special coating that important for the sensor? I dont want to order another radiator bc the fcp euro already shipped and i cant cancel

@marcelinomorales3979 those radiators are fragile and easy to break. It needs to have the coating on the radiator or else the EAC sensor won't read right and you can get a check engine light causing failing emissions(it sucks).

I got the same radiator just shipped in , unfortunately the sensor broke off on the old radiator, do I need to buy the sensor for my car to run and be ok?

@eliassaavedra5113 the car will still run without the sensor but you will get a check engine light and won't be able to pass emissions. You can get a new sensor if you need to pass emissions or wait.

@@cgcars3427 Im not due for another 2 years for that emissions test , somebody told me it turns on the fans if the radiator is too hot is this true? If not I’m just going to assemble it without the sensor because I need my car rn lol , the sensor broke off the plastic probe but the wires are still attached to the sensor block itself hahaha I might re use it with some type of electrical adhesive

@eliassaavedra5113 the sensor that controls the radiator fan is connected on one of the coolant hoses so without the radiator sensor it will still work. I had installed my radiator and my sensor had broken too so I had it without the sensor and the car ran fine and the radiator fan turned on normally. If you get nervous about it, just let the car run without driving it and watch and make sure the fan turns on.

Is this radiator for manual or automatic transmission? As i dont see website mentioned that

It works for auto or manual. It brings 2 plugs that go at the bottom of the radiator where the transmission cooler goes. The plugs are different lengths, the longer is for auto and the shorter is for manuals. The shorter blocks it so that no fluid comes out where the transmission cooler would go.

The oem one that they have on ecs tuning comes with the sensor but dam for 6 bills

Yea 6 bills is alot, that's what I dislike about the SULEV N51 engines. I got the radiator and sensor separate. I bought the sensor for 90 bucks of some website that the seller bought the sensor and never used it. So that temperature sensor link u sent from fcp that says bmw Mercedes that’s the correct one cus I notice it just says for n26 when u try to validate the fitment on fcp euro
