Thanks for the video Nathan. Just ordered the Mostplus from your link. Didn't know I had a PCV issue until i performed a vacuum test on the cover after removing from e90 n52 (while changing gaskets). Thought I'd give it a try.

Nathan, I work with a woman who is selling her 2003 e46 330xi coupe with the M54. It's like a mystic blue color. The clutch went out and she doesn't want to pay to have a new one installed. It has 220-230 thousand miles. The engine is actually in pretty decent shape. I replaced the brakes, fuel filter, plugs, and coils recently. The tires are pretty bald, and the alignment is off. Also, the sunroof doesn't open or close, it's stuck closed, doesn't leak, but is missing the partition. She said she'd take about anything anyone offered her. Just giving you a heads up if you feel like doing a clutch job on an all-wheel drive e46.

Great video, like them all since there is good amount of focus on essentials with going to so much detail to scare people even thinking about working in their BMWs. Would you mind posting video regarding change transmission fluid ? Would be greatly appreciated if that be for E60 2008 528i auto. Thanks again.

I’m thinking something to do with correlation between cam and crank angle is causing that issue, but vanos could be the problem giving the change after the solenoid swap

I just bought my 06 330i with 218k miles. Previous owner had valve cover gasket replaced. I've been fighting a MAF code and after finding a CCV hose broken and temporarily replaced it with a rubber hose I had laying around it's running good so far. I noticed 5 bolts missing from the valve cover, a few broken bolts including one of the 2 eccentric valve bolts. I guess he didn't take it to BMW or figured 10 out of 15 bolts is good enough!

Nathan I need some guidance please. I have an e90 330xi. Last year I replaced the battery (the car sat with no battery for three days) when I put the new battery in I had 4x4,abs, red brake and dsc light all come on. Tried turning steering wheel all the way left all the way right nothing. Drive around nothing. Fault code is “ 005f39 clutch position unknown “. This was not on before the battery change. I have a foxwell nt530 for bmw. The scanner sees I have the error and will activate modules but when try to clear the code it can’t communicate with it properly. Also have junction box error 30 f-g. This all happens after the battery replacement. What were the adaptations you reset that you speak about in this video concerning the 4x4? Any help is greatly appreciated.

So your saying that it was the PCV and the vanos solenoids but also actually everything else you did (coils, plugs etc...) however doing all the replacements was just PART of the solution because it did not resolve UNTIL you reset ALL the adaptions and you must have ista to truly reset everything? How, would I go about obtaining ista?

HI Nathan, know this video is old but the content is still relevant! I have a BMW E92 320D M Sport, and i had issues that when i did hard acceleration i lacked power and the engine MIL light would come on. I had codes relating to the EGR being stuck closed, not enough vacuum, the engine was not cooling properly, when i took it on the road any constant acceleration or hard the engine management light would come on, like taking it on the highway, what it turned out to be! I changed all the vacuum lines and 2 Solenoids one for the EGR and the other for the Turbo a pressure converter the car know driver like brand new!

Now I need to reset the Footwell module and after watching 8 different videos with download this and download that and none of the links work I'm still not ready to take it to the dealer for a reset. Did you ever check the fuel pressure? With the age and likely mileage on that car the fuel pump could definitely be weak and could have been at least part of the problem even though it appears to be fixed now.

Would a failing fuel pump cause the car feeling like it’s super weak? And my gas mileage is terrible I drive like 15 km but lose 40k worth of fuel I’m super lost
@michaelporter3555
@michaelporter3555 2 жыл бұрын
@@aimized1460 I've seen BMWs have lean codes on multiple cylinders caused by a weak fuel pump. Especially if everything else that can cause the codes like vacumn leaks have been eliminated. Low on power, engine that's difficult to start, engine cutting out and or hesitation or outright bogging on acceleration could be a fuel pump. White smoke out of the exhaust can be an indication of running lean and possibly the fuel pump. All of that could also be a bad fuel filter. The high fuel consumption isn't typical but possible but if it's that bad you should have lean codes. If the vehicle is a BMW and is over 10 or 15 years old, has high mileage and has the original fuel pump you probably should change it since it's probably weak, on it's way to complete failure and at least part of the problem.
@aimized1460
@aimized1460 2 жыл бұрын
@@michaelporter3555 yes the car is 14 years old , has 259k km , no codes or faults are present. However upon looking thru all the documentation I see that the fuel pump was never ever changed so it still has the original pump, i will most likely change it out thank you for your informative comment brother, seriously

All faults are gone and car runs way better than what it used too but still feel a little rough while driving. I only get one 2A82 Einlass VANOS fault but on cold start or whenever I restart the car.
