Watching with interest as I am upgrading the base stereo in my e81,fitted the gladen speakers so far next up is amplification and dsp. What do you think of the mosconi amps with built in dsp? or should I look elsewhere helix zapco maybe! Excellent installation, fabrication look forward to your videos.

Just came across your channel. Based on your BMW experience (I’ve got ‘19 m550i), I value your opinion. I’m running Morel Hybrid 402 with Helix Ultra DSP. I’m not convinced I should go active. I’m pleased with how they sound. Is it worth it?

Brandon Jackson if the mid+tweeter are close, then it can sound good. Then it’s just down to reference levels. Some people can be happy with it, some can not. 🤷🏻‍♂️

excited to see the result. Btw. Have you ever had trouble with Mos-fet system? im running a Mobridge Da3 that i connected on the mosfet-signal before it goes into the stock amp. Often when i start the car, the headunit does not turn on and after a while it makes loud "pop" noise. i have tho "restart" the headunit to make it work and it always makes that "pop" noice when i do it. Really excited to see what you think about the speaker setup. Going to be great as always!

No idea where this one was crossed years ago, but all BMWs are the same. Depending on daily & competition settings it can be anywhere between 130-200Hz. What stage are you at with your project? Isn’t it ready for a proper tune yet?

It needs coding. HK system comes with HK amp + speakers.

JayinMI i think you could do it yourself too if you have the plug-in diagnostic module, but in this case the client was actually taking the car to his garage for other bits and he was gonna get it done there.

I like when people think. Save space. I have skoda yeti 2016. I want install 300w woofer. Sony woofer. And my plan put few extra 10cm tweeters. Where is rear window.

I want to ask you. I have sony hi-fi 300w. I have edge amplifier 2 channels 300w. I have two 10cm speakers from bmw 5 series 2005. And i have two tweeters from same sony. My question is did i can connect all this speaker in one tao channel amplifier.? Speakers with Crossovers

Peter, will that optical converter device work in my 2011 bmw F10 equipped with the harmon kardon system? I would like to replace the factory amplifier and Im not impressed with the current offerings from beemertech or anything else. I would like to use my own selection of amps and processors for the front stage. Please let me know, Thank you and Im looking forward to the e90 build.

UncleRico if you have HK, then you can unplug the fibre optic, put it into one of these SDMI25 boxes and then you can use anything after that with a DSP + amps of your choice. Alternatively you can have plug’n’play options from Match (Audiotec Fischer).

@@pssound9749 Hi Peter, I've been researching like mad to understand how to code my BMW Pro HU which is configured for Loudspeaker Advanced (HiFi-676) to output via the MOST ring and found the correct CAFD modifications in E-Sys and a location behind the HU to tap into the fibre. I want to purchase the SDMI25 as I think that is the best option for this over the Audisoshite and MOBridge alternatives. My plan would be to mount it behind the HU as I've completely run out of space in the factory amp location filling it with a TwK88 and an RD500/4, running a Toslink and remote wire to the TwK in the boot. I read from the manual of the SDMI25 that it only has 12v, ground, and remote that must be used to power on the next device in the signal chain. My question is what 12v source are you connecting this to that turns the unit on/off when the ignition is turned on/off and are there any considerations to take for start/stop?
