Life/ work balance, needed a little time away from KZbin but focusing on bringing a good chunk of videos to the channel this month 😬 Thanks for the support Mark 👌

Belter of a mod mate haha! I work in a fabrication shop so I have access to everything I need including welding equipment etc, I might take the tips off and see if we've got any polished 304L Stainless tube the same diameter in at work, that would be ideal :)

I got a tip for those of you who want to pull down the muffler and don't hava a lift. Put the car on jack stands and place a board that runs under both exhaust pipe on each side and let it rest on the floor jack. Hope you got what I mean. This will help with both lowering and lifting the muffler in place after the mods. That's how I did it solo and it was no pain at all.

I can only agree with you what you said about the exhaust mod: it overpowered the intake sound from the airbox🤨 I mean, why spend a lot of money on an airbox when you don`t hear it beacause of the exhaust😄 I switched back to a used standart exhaust with pre-cat delete, 80 mm tips and it sounds just right👍 Greetings from Germany
@stoneautomotive2 жыл бұрын
With the interior stripped you get a great sound from the exhaust and can still hear the intake loud and clear 👌

@@stoneautomotive For me, it was a little bit too loud after 70k km with the exhaust mod. Maybe I´m gettin`too old🤣

Hi mate- a great look. can you remember what size rivets you used? Did you go bigger?
@stoneautomotive2 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks - sadly I just had a box of universal box of rivets and just used the stock size (at a guess somewhere between 3 - 5mm)

The modified tips look ace, love the nod to the E46 style tips. One of these is my next car I’ve decided. My M140i missed the mark and has been sold and replaced with a 130 as an interim car, so I’m currently spending too much time looking at ones for sale!

Certainly worth spending the time searching for the right one, the spec options are massive as well, prices have started to come down so another month or two should see some better deals 😎 I think they will then just climb and climb in value after this winter.. until fuel becomes £3 a litre 😅

Hello I got this acm mod recently .. did you have any increase of heat inside the cabin?
@stoneautomotive Жыл бұрын
No heat difference in the cabin, make sure the tips are still getting past the rear bumper though
