It has more than plenty of power to have fun in, and if I need more power I’ll just simply do a supercharger set up but there’s no need for that much power in my opinion, just the sound itself is enough for me

I couldn't agree more: The BMW 3 Series E92 is a design classic. Mine is 'only' a 320D SE but the feel, handling and good old-fashioned fun to be had is never-ending. Mine has a lowly 184 bhp, which is plenty enough for me. Around town it can feel a little agricultural, but out on the country lanes, at pace, the car never leaves the road. And on the motorway? OMG! Put it in 6th and the car just soars...it's incredible. My wife and family aside, getting a 320D is the best thing I've ever done. Great video - respect is very much due. 👍❤

Epic, the era of E46 and E92 M3s remains the best M powered BMWs, it must be powered by “M” and not any bolt on blower, no, that is the M turbo. The craftsmanship that BMW put into the naturally aspirated E46 and E90 engines will be celebrated in the future, the newer M3 turbo engine no matter how fast does not provoke emotions like NA engines. Great video. Solid rear subframe bushings are essential imo as its very floaty at the rear out the box.

I love our e46 m3. We have had it for about 5 years now. And now we are getting another M car; all we have to do is decide on the e36 or e92. I love the e92, but I have heard a lot of horror stories about rod bearings and throttle actuators going bad. So we are trying to decide on just getting an e92 and spend the extra money to have that done,or just taking that extra 5-7 grand for those repairs (because no matter what,it will be inevitable that those will go bad) or.. Take that extra repair money and add to the purchase of a low mileage, damn near mint condition e36 M3 with no issues and a bit easier to handle repairs on if and when it needs them. I have a company vehicle, so no matter what one I get, they will not be driven constantly. Our e46 has been in storage now since about November and will stay in there until the spring and summer months(that's how it has been since we have had it).

E92 over E36! E36 is ageing now and you can't have as much fun in it. Also, if you get the E92, you have both the straight 6 and the V8.

Wish I hadn't sold mine. Didn't have it long but after 10 months, the cost of fuel had shot right up, car tax went up, everything was going up so it was the easiest thing to cull. It was a super rare spec 2008 - Individual audio, adaptive headlights that were white, unlike the usual yellow as you see in the video, fully electric seats, not just lumbar support but there was electric bolster adjust, folding door mirrors, heated seats, full pro Nav system, extended storage, even a CD changer, EDC, DCT, carbon leather dash. Someone had added an alcantara steering wheel, Competition wheels which look awesome, and an Eisenmann back box which let you hear the V8, as opposed to the raspy and muted stock sound. It sounded more like a Maserati V8, deep and bassy. Like this guy touches on, it's the ultimate every day car. I drove from Bedfordshire to Wales, took 3.5 hours, some traffic made it drag, but I was relaxed and comfortable the whole way and got out without back ache. The next morning I took a wrong turn to where I was going and ended up on a back B road through some Welsh hills. It was quite cold and slippery so I drove sensibly but the M3 was amazing, so sure footed and planted but with plenty of that driver involvement. Every drive was special. I'd often take a slightly longer route home, even if driving across town, so I'd be in it a bit longer. And now when I think about the next dream car to own, I'd love a Porsche 911 997 but then I look at the stats, 0-60 in 5+ seconds for anything remotely affordable and makes me realise how even more spoilt I was in the M3 with a 0-60 of 4.7. There's not much can touch it for performance and it's ability to be an every day usable car.

@@hellfire08My M3 only has 67’000 km and so far it’s been pretty reliable. Warming up properly a high revving engine is vital. If you respect that the car will respect you.

E93 m3 2013. Never had a “performance” car before, but this surpasses anything I’ve ever driven in my life. Didn’t get the EDC so daily driving is rough, but it’s all worth it at the end

E90 M3 6MT … just bought one this week and I love it. It feels like a complete car while not the best at anything inside or out it is simply awesome to drive in every way. Sort of understated in a good way any subconscious expectations are exceeded! Seats and clutch are better than I expected while the shifter might need some improvement. I like it the way it is in terms of power. My 718 scratches that torque itch on other days ✌️
