Hi mate, are you asking if I’m using one? If so then I’m not using an adaptor at all, just a 2.5 diesel p38 bell housing 👍🏽

A 530 is good for bout 190hp. You should've gotten an e60 535d 2007-2009 is good for about 280hp and with a bigger turbo and couple of mods you can reach 300hp easy

That’s right, as standard they came as 184bhp but with a remap which this one one has, they go up to 240bhp with no mods! The newer m57,s can go even more than 300 but are more complex to get running(not a lot more). If I like this swap, then a newer defender with a newer m57 is definitely on my mind. The more powerful newer m57 @ 300bhp would rip my old land rover transmission to pieces though so if I do go down that route then I’d also be looking to use a 6 speed manual BMW transmission. New defender, E60 M57, big turbo, BMW Transmission.....absolute beast!!!

Thanks Max. I have the wiring end sorted but I’m struggling to get an adaptor and flywheel and I see no 6 speed manual zf transmissions at the moment so I’m looking into the p38 bell housing route with a heavy duty clutch. I’ll call you today 👍🏽
