I want to thank you personally "BMW Fanatic" i have been a subscriber for years, what i had learned through watching your videos, skills and top tips has helped me with my own issues on a Diesel BMW E92 320D M sport. Fix issues that originally cost up to £9000 pounds. Some of them re-occurring after coming back from mechanic shops because most mechanics just read coded and change parts. Unlike us who troubleshoot why is it doing this or why does it do that, what is it connected to and what is the function (Analysts).

If you have a bmw car which has misfiring codes or rough idle, and you have changed the plugs and coils or even injectors but the misfiring codes still there and rough idle still persist - just do this. 1. Change your eccentric sensor with a new one, your misfire codes and rough idle will go away for good. *Remember just change/ replace your Eccentric Sensor*

Dielectric grease is a huge factor in N54 spark plugs. I had arcing marks on the sides of my plugs that were misfiring. Putting dielectric grease kept it from happening all summer. Now I replace my set ever year or 2 and put the grease and I have no more misfire issues. I have a 2009 335 with JB4 and MHD flash running map2 with 93 octane daily driven at 17 psi. Soon to start playing with e85 and 2 step!

Great videos man! Your the best at explaining things simple. I have replaced injectors, coils, and plugs but get hiccups only on high throttle. No codes popping up. Have 2013, 335is, 70,000 miles, full bolt ons, and a Cobb tune. I know I know. JB4 the way to go.lol.. I'm new to DIY's and reading data logs. Can you create a step by step explanation at each category in data logs and how to diagnose problems based on numbers? Also, any good DIY's on jacking the car and putting lifts? Thank you and keep up the great work. Life saver.

Use the crossbar behind the diff for rear central jackpoint. There's a central spot in the front where the pan is cut away by the factory, use that for front central jackpoint. To start, put chocks behind + in front of one (or both) rear wheels. Drive on to a 2x6x12" or larger under both front wheels, or use any jack that will safely lift one (front) side until that front wheel is high enough to get your floor jack to the front central lift-point: this is necessary with an e90 and sport suspension!. Use a quality floor jack; a long, low one is best; try to use a 2 1/2 ton capacity jack or larger. If you're going to D.I.Y. low-set sports-cars go ahead and make the investment. I cut a piece of strong wood just a bit bigger than the cup of my jack; first time you use it the weight will make impressions in the wood so it will sit right in the cup. The wood distributes the lift on the front and rear lift spots. Jack the front first and put stands under the front side-jack-pads, and lower car onto them. Make sure it's stable. Try shifting the car from a few positions to be sure it's stable, but stand at an outward angle so if it comes off it doesn't crush you. Safety, blah-blah-blah. Then lift the rear, lower the side jack-points onto jackstands. Shift test again. If the car shifts at all, figure out why and fix the issue.

I recently had problem with my 2015 70k 435i Iv change the all the plugs cost me £92 and all the coil cost me £102 now found out no 6 inject is intermittent and 4 is not reading as we done a Dignistic injector test so Iv just order all 6 what’s cost me £460 there borsch series 12 that’s trade prices as I own a garage in Uk still very pricey but rather do it once and be done with but thanks for this video bro great to know

Of all the old revision injectors, the original index 1s were the most reliable. It was downhill from there until the index 12s. I have 135k miles on my 2007 n54 335i fbo, still running strong with original index 1 injectors. I send an oil sample annually to Blackstone labs, and they've always come out clean, no traces of fuel :)

My 535i cyilinder 5 6 it can be the spark or the battery or the starter but number 2 spark is black and all the others are good so i gotta think about it

Can a valve cover leaks cause a misfire because I took of my ignition coil of cylinder 2 and there was a little bit of oil but I so far ordered my ignition coil and spark plugs and valve cover

Pro Tip. If you don’t have a BMW scan tool and don’t want to pay BMW to read it but are misfiringYou can disconnect (not completely pull out) each coil individually. Start at 1 and do one at a time while the Engine is running, if you disconnect it and it runs rougher connect it back and move to the next one. If it runs the same then you know it’s for that cylinder. Then you can go about swapping coils to test if it’s a coil or plug issue. If it is an injector. You can replace only 1 cylinder AS LONG AS each bank has all injectors between either 1-10 or 11-12. They can not be intermixed outside of those groups. You can however have one bank with 11-12 and one with 1-10 just not in the same bank.

2c7e oxygen sensor emissions control.upon starting rough idle, within 10 seconds it straightens out, but Engine running rich, you can smell the petrol. 2 oxygens sensors in the engine bay have been replaced, i take it thats pre cat, so now i need to replace 2 by the cats?

If the other 2 injectors of the same bank are indexes 1-10, than the 3rd injector must be from 1-10. If they are 11 or 12, then the 3rd must be 11 or 12

My 2015 m4 was misfiring, so replacing my plugs and it's good again. Now a month later my m4 is misfiring again under full throttle at 4k rpms, half throttle it can go to redline without issue. check engine light, no misfire codes this time Installed 6 new spark plugs, 6 new dinan coil packs and still misfiring at 4k rpms full throttle. Some people say replace all injectors , flywheel is off balance.. idk what to do without throwing money blindly

Nice video bro. Question, can clot air filter cause misfires? I have a m6 2013 v8 twin turbo and had misfire for cylinder 5,7,8 I replaced all the sparkplugs since it was due. The issue continued so I replaced the coils for the cylinders with error and the issue is still there, any advice?

In case you or someone else sees this. 2009 N54. All injectors replaced at 60k. Currently at 136k. Replaced vcg and Gasket last week. Plugs and coils were wet from oil. Cleaned and dried them. Still been having cold start issues where CES light comes on and codes show lpfs and misfires usually on 2, 3, and 6. Replaced low pressure fuel sensor yesterday. Reset adaptations. Same crap again today. Once everything warms up, it's a beast again. Only happens when I let sit and gets cold. #baffled. Any thoughts? Oh, also, plugs are new within 3k miles. Don't think 3 coils would go bad then run without misfiring on wot, right? #stillbaffled.

Likely injectors leaking. That is why its only when cold. It leaks over night.

@@kristijangrgic9841 It was spark plugs. I replaced all my injectors and was still having the problems. I bought new NGK plugs and all problems solved. Although my plugs were new before (Bosch) , I believe I bought some of those counterfeit Bosch plugs off a 3rd party seller. No more 3rd party sellers for me. Sticking to the reputable dealers. Appreciate the response though.

i need you help, i have missfire on cylinder 6 on my n53 engine,, but only on startup.. if i rev it until its warm and then restart the car, it runs spotless. it´s not the coil or the sparkplugs.. i also know that my os sensors may be bad. previus owner have already change the spreaders all 6 of them. i think im gonna try pu sparkplugs non-foulers and see if i can bypass them? any thing you can think of that can help. thanks

I'm getting a lean code in bank 1 what should I do its 2000 euro to replace them with part a labor 19 percent sales tax. My question is do i really need all 6?

beamerboy two things here 1. Anthony. Do not have BMW replace your injectors buy the parts online and do it at home you will save more than half in cost and it’s super easy. Just make sure they are re coded properly after install 2. No you do not need all 6 as long as they are older than index 11 then you can replace 1 cylinder at a time. 3. Beamerboy stop spreading misinformation injectors have no bearing on each other. Just because one is bad it doesn’t mean the others “start to fail”. They are interdependent the only reason he would have to replace more than one is if they are index 11 or 12.

Omer AbdulAziz try walnut blasting your engine and fit a oil catch can afterwards or you could try cleaning your injectors with a fuel injector solution

To answer your question. Yes As long as it’s not index 11 or newer you can replace only 1 injector. If it’s index 11 or 12 you have to replace the whole bank with index 11 or newer, bank 1 (cyl1,2,3) or bank 2 (cyl 456) it’s a temporary fix so after you replace the 1 make sure you save up for a set of Index 12s which is about$1100 on FCP euro

It’s Ryder Fool if it was so severe that he NEEDED a walnut blast, it wouldn’t be only 1 of his cylinders misfiring. There is a lot of misinformation out there about walnut blasting. Do it at 100,000 to 140,000 miles once. Never have to do it again.

Omer AbdulAziz also you can take a stethoscope (or a long screwdriver) and listen to the injector. Put the tip of the stethoscope or screwdriver on the little nipple looking thing on the injector. You should hear an audible ticking. If not. You know that injector is bad.

Sounds like water got into you air intakes or intercooler and maybe it got inside your engine , check your oil , if it's milky... Change it. Or maybe that guy was using your car and blew the spark plugs or vanoss you never know... good luck.
