I used this video today to assemble the same headlights ! Kept going back and repeat and check all the bits (since it was taken apart not by me ) and i realised in 2 hrs that you didnt include one small thing that was the reason mine wouldn’t stay fixed in place ! Sorted now, so still thank you for the video!

I would recommend spraying the inside retaining metal rings ( @ 5:00 ) with Rustoleum Cold galvanizing compound spray paint since these are galvanized parts.....You can not apply paint on galvanized steel unless it is acrylic latex paint, otherwise your paint will flake/peel sooner or later. The paint you used is enamel paint, and it won't work.

The finish same out soo nice on them too. Of course it’s the wrong paint 😭 so far no flaking but thanks for the heads up

Anyway, they are easy to recoat if flaking appears...The only drawback with the Rustoleum galvanized paint is the color is more gray looking than metal...I just did mine this afternoon ! These parts are NLA from BMW. Only Ivo Christov has 3 NOS left for around $45 USD each.

What are city lights???

They are the 4 watt bulbs that are in your euro low beams. Some people refer to them as day time running lights or parking lights. The US headlights do not have these and are wired respectively because they function differently by design, the US outside lights have a high beam, the euro lights only use the low beam filament in the h4 bulbs. On your connector, the same position that the US headlights used for high beam, euro lights use for city lights. When you flip the light switch into 1st position, instead of the corner lights turning on, the 4watt bulbs should light up, so the corner bumper lights is where most grab their power from

They do actually. If you notice your lights aren’t pointing straight, all you have to do is twist the lens adjusters to center your lens. Great question thanks for asking

Where did you get those round plugs for the grills? They typically use like a screw type

Correct Euros come with screws and US comes with plugs. I replaced the screws with clips from my US grills but you can likely find them in a retainer clip kit.
