I just did this repair today based off of this video, when you have the tools this job is a 4/10. When you’re pulling off the hoses don’t be afraid to just break the old clips since you’re new part has new clips. And you do not need to remove intake tube or throttle body. Took about an hour. I am the warranty

you need to remove all these parts just to get to the purge valve ? I wanted to do a smoke test from purge valve to troubleshoot EVAP issue on F30 so all of this has to be removed?

My purge valve doesn't have that extra hose going to the front.. 320i 2013.. I'm lost..

Im stuck man I hope you can help. I have a 2011 535i I have permanent code P149D with no CEL but code is there so I replaced the whole shutoff valve and have done several drive cycles and still no luck. Any suggestions?

u dont need to take out brace or chargepipe just did it today

@@miguelpina6890 if i remember correctly u just need to get it out its support brace theres enough room to wiggle it out ' dont forget to reset adaptations after new install

You dont need to take out a single thing lol. There is plenty of room to get it out. I changed it in like 20 minutes

To say that this engine is absolute garbage is an understatement. Most of the “common” failures like the timing chain guide for instance are simply unacceptable, especially coming from BMW. 🤮
