Great series on how to completely retrofit the NBT EVO with the ATM. One question though, why did you need to add a second microphone on the passenger side? Is this something that LCI cars/cars with NBT EVO have that pre-LCI cars do not have?

Thank you! And yes I added the second microphone because it is needed for the nbtevo, otherwise you’ll get an error. But you can also add it on the nbt. Just better audio call quality.

I've moved from Champ2 to NBT and added the TCB for telematic services. So I've coded all needed SALAPA elements and removed the old one. But TCB still didn't appear in ECU list but CBX remains. I know I could remove CBX Media and Ecall in SVT-Editor but still didn't have any luck with the TCB. Any proposals?

Great video, exactly what I was looking for. Spent so long online, perfect. I’m just about to retrofit a NBT EVO ID6 kit into my 2012 F30. (I’ve done the KCAN1 to KCAN2 wiring mod btw) I’ve made the FA(VO) changes added 609, changed 6NH to 6NS. I’m ready to VO code the modules as per this video you kindly made. My kit came from a 2018 donor car, and I have the complete hardware. 8.8inch touch screen,iDrive Touch controller, Touch module. CID video cable, plus other cables needed to fit. The ID6 has had VIN matched and FSC etc and CarPlay activated via bench. So ready to use without a emulator. Before I install or code, I’m confused on do I need to VO code the iDrive Controller and iDrive Touch module? Will they need CAFD injecting? Thanks again.

That’s great, I am glad that this is helping you out, for the touch controller you might need to inject the cafd file and code it, the touch control just needs coding of it acts up, although I have never seen this happening. It is mostly plug and play for the hand recognition module

Since BMW links the ATM VIN with the SIM CARD in the ATM, how did you manage to change the vin and still have it working?

Hi, at the time I did this, Service shops were still allowed to change your module registration with BMWConnected, at least in NA. Currently, this is no longer an option... however I am still looking for a solution to help people who want to do this... Because seriously, I do not understand BMW not wanting to allow users to have these options through a BMWConnected account... but then again, they are sniffing glue over there judging by the look of the latest design choices.

Looking good. So if I already have the kafas camera, on my 2012 f10 year modell with high beam assisten and SLI. Can I vo code the land departure to my car or is it any fsc code that needs? I am about to retrofit lane change sensor in back bumpers, but if lane departure is a simple vo coding I should do that. What you think? apprectiate the help best regards

Hi! If you have the same camera on the windshield technically it should work. If you have the camera inside the rear view mirror I am not quite sure. Also if you have not updated the software in the car prior to 2016 there is an option you can enable to grave it on all the time without the button, otherwise you need the button under the headlight controlleri am also waiting for parts for the lane change warnings, but Mail is a mess

I have the camera on the windshield, heard so much information that I wouöd need an fsc code but some other have just vo coded it and it worked, yea but If I make this I will make it like it should with button and everything. Will also retrofit the rear sensor on the rear bumper. Thank you for a good diy videos, I have checked all your videos on that F32, from Part 1 ti this last part.

Bmw_5_ Bmw_5_ yeah the Fsc are for speed limit information, frontal collision warning and pedestrian warning.

Nice.can you help me with something ?02.2012 bmw f11 with original kafas kamera (not kafas2).i have sli and light assist original.i coded lane change warning and ai whant to add FCW. what do i have to do? i add 5ad but work only LDW.if i add 5AS when i put on ignition i see a car in kombi.but nothing works.any idea ?

Hi Ali, That comes with the kafas once you order it with your vin# or you can find it through the interwebs.

I tried to code 5AS two times but it doesn’t work 🤷‍♂️ I got all FSC‘s code all ECU‘s tried also change ZK from Kafas and Kombi but couldn’t solve the problem, further my Cruise Control also not working after add 5AS.

Hi Ali, so you have coded, cleared all the error codes and let the car go to sleep and sync all the modules on your flexray network? And still not working?

@@DorksandBolts exact, still not work. I will try to change the ZK from all ECU‘s an try it again. When i add 5AD everything was working 🤷‍♂️(No Pedestrian) I still think that my Car Building Date doesn’t know 5AS.

@@SA-Performance I wouldn’t really mess at all with the ZK that is going to create a whole slew of problems in all the modules

@@SA-Performance what's your overall i-level? the modules should be FEM, DSC, HU, Kafas2, ICM and of course the FSC codes to work at least FCW and SLI pedestrian is not really something that will give you an error.

Hi Sjaak, that would be the recognition of other traffic signs, like do not pass, or one way street. In NOrth America these do not work, I believe these are only available for Europe.

@@DorksandBolts Ok that explains a lot! Thank you for the reply! Have done the 5AS retrofit. It works! Except in ISTA it says "installation of collision warning" not fitted. But it does works (have FSC added). Only strange thing I have at the moment.
