BMW F32 How to replace side mirror glass

its for auto dimming if you have that feature. I just got a cheap replacement of glass because I didn't want to pay 4 to 5 bills at BMW. I don't even think about the feature anymore.

Does your mirror tilt down on reverse? Any video to show up close on how it looks without Bessel?

Yes it does but only when the switch is toggled to the left. as far as look,I got use to it very quick. To replace original glass the price was crazy because I had the adapted glass

@@ShellyBHollis so I m dealing with situation where I tried to changed the indicator strip and ended up cracking the glass it self. In order for me to replace it form bmw it’s $700 since it has S430A feature. I am wondering did you just changed the glass or the whole housing where glass sits and clips back into the housing of mirror cap and wire ?

@@tallig1 sorry for delay I just changed the glass and clipped it right in. The glass didn't cost me more than $30 on eBay. I've been wanting to change my blinkers to the sequential turn signals but I don't want to break more glass.

bimmercode app my dude, it cost me $30 but you can change so much. I'll do a video this week. I changed sounds, I can now watch dvd's, my lights are different, etc.

Right around 2:36 in the video you can see where I had to use pliers to remove the prongs right in front of the clip, they're two of them.

sorry for late response I had that issue as well, did you hear everything click in? Also I applied pressure from the middle of the mirror and worked my way out.

My car….f32 435xi…..originally added m4 mirror caps that were very good quality and paint form china $99 after 4 years or so they faded some, not terrible, however I decided to replace them. Round 2….got replacement mirror caps $35 from china…..these also were really good for the money…however they had a weird manufacturing circle in them, on the visable side about the size of quarter. After a few weeks, I decided for $180 autotecnic version instead. Mirror cap round 3… Well…broke the passenger side glass in the procress. Just ordered the replacement glass for $16 off ebay. Great video!

Why don't you use a plastic prying tool? they rea cheap and plentiful, you don't use a metal screwdriver dude.
