BMW F800R Waterpump replacement & service

Here I show how I replace a waterpump on a BMW F800R. The oil & water have mixed, as shown by the high oil level and brown colour of the oil. I flush out as much old oil as possibly by filling the engine up with clean petrol. It may take 2-3 oil changes to get the water out completely. The oil in the coolant system can be removed by allowing the coolant to overflow in the radiator while warming the bike up pushing the oil out the top.
Not shown in the video, the 2 water pipes started leaking after a test ride of the bike, and the customer ran into an issue with the thermostat. The oil cooler pipes were very rusty and I capped off them but didn't have time to film it.

That was a lot of coolant in the oil. Do you know if the engine suffered damage or did it survive ok? Thanks for that video.

Gotta check oil with engine hot enough to turn fan on... That bike is clapped out though-

You should not have water/coolant mixed with oil. I would bet money you have cracked the head or cylinder. Ask me how I know? It is exactly what happened to a car I owned. The engine would still run, but It would have left me broken down on the wide of the road if I had not replaced the engine. Were you using water and not anti-freeze? Thats what it looks like. Then it got below freezing overnight water expanded as it froze and bam you have a cracked motor or head along with a water pump.

This video shows water pump replacement, and likely the reason why there is coolant in the oil. As far as I know the bikes still a good runner for the customer. I serviced it last summer and the oil way fine. No I used coolant in the fill up on the video.
