Making a decision between a 540i or the M5 has never been more difficult. The B58 sounds insane.

if you want comfort go for 540, they’re heavy and not that quick compared to 340s mod for mod, i got a 2018 80k miles had to replace radiator and water pump, besides that everything has been fine with normal maintenance stage 2+

The 40i cars are bulletproof, they have the B58 engine which are arguably the most reliable BMW engines ever made, even toyota uses them for the supra.
