yeah I hate the burbles but BMW maps the ECU to do this in Sport Plus on all the M cars now kinda annoys me but you can tune and code it out if you ship the ECU to Russia to unlock it but I feel right now too risky to send my ECU to a war zone

I wish only one team can unlock these ECU worldwide kinda ridiculous considering how huge the BMW tuning market is. they are getting so strict on these ECU and it makes zero sense with the European car companies all jumping ship towards EV cars. I hope something becomes available soon in the US because I want another 200hp just for the sake of it lol

​@@autofanaticcarsFEMTO isn't in Russia, they are in Finland. Also there are a couple companies who will fly the ECU to FEMTO and bring it back for you

they are a Russian team who seem to be seeking refuge in Finland but regardless I just think its a PITA to send the ECU out these days with packages getting lost and me not having my daily car to drive for 2 weeks so I will wait for another easier solution in due time when someone in the US buys the tools to do these ECU

zero snow all winter we had a few mornings of some ice and maybe 1/4 inch of slush and i tried drifting the M3 but it is so well balanced i could not get it to go out of control like my old QV would.

CA is very strict they only allow axle back legally but you can do whatever you like and take a chance.

the auto in the QV 17-19 models feels better than the BMW it is how they are programmed the 20-23 QV feels similar to the BMW automatic programming. clearly up to you

You cant get 100% of the sound quality thru a smart phone but my impression would be that the the stock exhaust is fitting for a M5 and the Remus is fitting for a M3. Had you told me in the 80's that I would love the "Lime" Green color I'd probably would've laughed. Porsche of Stratham NH has a used 22 in green, I was tempted.

yeah when I saw this car the day I bought it i was shocked how it caught my attention and did it, i never thought I would have a bright green anything in my life but its really neat. The REMUS Race on the M3 has a deep resonance similar to my Shelby GT350R which is shocking how cool it is when your in the throttle.

@@autofanaticcars I'm being facetious. However I'm not wrong - Dimensionally speaking, the G80 M3 is the same width and length as an E60 M5. Great looking car but BMW has lost its core of what a 3 series is.

yes i mentioned the size many times in my BMW videos as I have owned an E60 M5 since new it is crazy how all cars are getting larger whether a BMW or even a Mustang. I still complain I wish the car was smaller overall i just prefer smaller cars to toss around country back roads but the G80 drives and handles amazing for its size and is a ton of fun so far. I think the new M2 will be the sweet spot for these new M cars all around and I may get one over the summer and sell the M3 we will see.

With the new BMW M2 on the horizon, would you consider eventually trading this M3 for it? I imagine it would be (slightly) cheaper to buy, and since most of the components are shared with the M3/4, it's easy to transfer mods over to the new car. The only downside at the moment is the limited color palette because the factory in Mexico does not paint other colors, but I've read online that BMW are expanding the options in 2024 to possibly include the M3/4 colors like your Isle of Man Green.

I kinda like the M2 based on the smaller size i may consider one but to be honest I may lean towards a Porsche or Ferrari we will see how long the M3 holds me over but i am really loving it overall to drive daily. Once weather warms up and i put the summer tires back on i can really see what the M3 can do its been freezing cold since I took delivery in December so very limited in pushing the handling still for safety reasons.

​@@autofanaticcars Glad to see you enjoy your M3. If you were to go Porsche, would you choose a 911 or a Cayman? The Cayman GT4 is basically a modern, German NSX, while a 911 GT3 is the ultra-expensive but ultra-pure driving experience. As for Ferrari, to me the current range doesn't quite excite me outside of the 812 which has that fantastic 6.5L NA V12. If the 458 Italia (my absolute favorite) was still produced today I'd say go for that one.

with the Sport muffler no drone with the Race muffler minor drone from 2200-2900 RPM but switch gears and your fine watch my other video on the Remus to compare. Both systems are identical in these videos except the rear muffler swap.

I really love this full racing setup, I think minor drone is not that bad, but you said it is too loud on inside without deleteing activesound design. I cant delete that beacuse if you code your car, it will lose warranty

I believe these are the Sports for the RWD model I am really happy with the stance, stiffer ride quality and handling so far the true test is when I switch back to summer tires and it warms up to see how she handles. I am also doing the front monoball conversion I will post a video on that in a few weeks when I get the time to do it. Camber is great front and rear with the H&R springs much faster steering and bite

no it is spot on perfect any lower i would worry of destroying the nose and blowing out the shocks as it might limit shock travel a bit too much. super happy with them

BMW hasn’t gotten the exhaust right on the M3 since the E92 days. I have an M340i with MPE + DP and it sounds wayyy better than any G80. Now, don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t mind having a G80, but man I don’t understand why they sound so lousy.

Roger if you had months to own and drive the G80 M3 and even physically work on the car lIke I have you would come to the conclusion immediately the BMW is the far better engineered car in almost every area from suspension tuning, braking feel and performance, ride quality, tech, build quality, paint quality, interior quality traction and balanced handling and usability it is honestly that good and with mine being a manual gearbox makes it even more special in the category of high performances mid size sedans where as the only other option is the Cadillac CT4 Blackwing. The QV was fun I had two of them but I am enjoying the M3 much more to be completely honest as it is more engaging to drive a manual versus an automatic

@@autofanaticcars My last two cars were both German manual trans (Audi A3 and GTI), so I prefer manuals, but I must say the ZF with paddle shifters is a pretty good substitute. I'm no mechanic, but I am an automotive engineer by training and I think the chassis dynamics on the Alfa are hard to beat. I also greatly prefer the size and looks (exterior and interior) over the BMW, so there's that. I have the Veloce model, so no engine issues so far, nor do I expect any. I like all the performance sedans, but the Alfa suits me better than the competition.

Well Phil having grown up and owning several muscle cars from the 60-70's nothing today can even come close to how those cars sounded especially after doing some mods. The crackle, thumping, barely can idle, shaking of the ground and rattling your teeth was a sound that demanded attention. Just not a fan of imports sounding exhaust. Doesn't do anything for me. I'm just still stuck in days gone by...lol

i emphasized this in the video it makes me laugh how people complain on forums over how loud aftermarket exhausts are then also complain how quiet the car is stock. If you owned real hard core performance cars in the past then loud exhausts is what you would want otherwise leave it stock or buy a Tesla i tell people

@@autofanaticcars I've installed plenty of Aftermarket exhausts on my machines in the past, but those were primarily motorcycles, not cars. As I've gotten older I seem to prefer increased tone, but not drone or excessively loud exhausts.
