The current M cars are absolutely nuts and people wonder why Toyota chose this bmw power plant for the supra well this is why folks just incase your wondering literally can get like 700hp from a compelling stock engine and turbos with just a tune take that into account BMW has definitely leveled up in a big big way

Both cars are around 70k retail cost in mods based off previous videos tally estimates… maybe a hair less spent than the M3. M340i is about 35k less for cost of the car if buying with have similar mileage. Definitely can cut it down for cost if you take away aesthetic mods. G80 has traction advantages with being able to run wider tires and warm tires with a burnout from factory. It also has a better flowing head and less weak points (oil pump and cam caps for certain years, differential leaking) B58 has higher compression ratio so better launches w big turbos. B58 has been out longer and more time to be developed, but both platforms devoting at unprecedented rates… even compared to the 2JZ. Fun and great time to be a BMW/supra owner.

It’s crazy how much faster the xdrive is with significantly less mods able to run 9s. Piggyback, e30, intakes, and a downpipe for xdrive gives you mid 9s around 650hp instead of 1100hp. Just wild what awd does

That was fun to watch, but you could see the M340i ripped that last run. Also, the exhaust on the B58 sounds soooo much better. The audience just liked the "blue car" because it was louder. Both awesome builds, though. I think the M340i makes more sense to modify into a drag car as the M3 takes optimizations more into the twisties. With that level of modification, the B58 and S58 essentially have the same motor and the M340i looks so much better.

brand new value or used car value, and including cosmetic mods or just drag performance mods? If used car value + drag performance mods, a built 1k whp g80 would be more expensive. But if counting new car value + every mod done including cosmetic, suspension etc, m340 is more in the hole.

The timer starts when you break the light beam, not when the light turns green. If you’re going for best time, you leave after green light whenever you’re ready/have built boost to have best launch. If the goal is to cross the finish line first, then reaction time is huge and you could run faster/quicker and still lose. …g80 will react and prob have better 60’ if you do something like a pro tree bc the twins build boost faster. Might be able to catch the g80 on the top end though still. Might be a fun experiment for that rematch…

I don’t know what tracks yall run at but i don’t know of a track that will let you be faster than a mid 7 in the 1/8th mile without a cage and that around a 11-12 second car in quarter mile this is just crazy negligence to me it doesn’t matter who you are stuff goes wrong all the time and it could not be anything you did
